  1. Zola is one my favourite authors, Therese Raquin is brilliant but the beast within and Germinal are my favourites. Good socialist too.
  2. I enjoy a social cigarette or two when drinking with friends who smoke, trying to stop that now. Did smoke properly for about 1 year but was never heavy, it's never felt like a craving for me but I suppose many people say that.
  3. Delusional. England are the biggest embarrassment going in terms of international football, culture, fans, style of play and get routinely humiliated. Anyone jealous of England football team has a serious personality disorder.
  4. Jealous of what? There's nothing to be jealous of.
  5. The Premiership is a shambles in terms of quality so no reason he can't go on, won't be at Manchester City though.
  6. How do you block people on this? Sick of this prick's posts.
  7. The phrasing may come across odd but he's not really being disrespectful. As the lad above says, there aren't any clubs that operate the same way as Barca or Bayern in the Premiership. One of the reasons is that more clubs have a chance of winning things in England at the moment, whereas for Bayern it's almost impossible to not win something and likewise Barca. Manchester City are not a club on that level and are also coming from relative mediocrity, he's building instead of maintaining (although he played a huge role in turning Barca into the club they now are).
  8. I'm also going to Malta, in July. Supposed to be roasting. Going to Rome in June too, can't wait.
  9. It's gimp behaviour, Ronaldo behaviour in fact.
  10. Why's he got his own shirt up there? The bad nobhead.
  11. Sure I saw Tom Davies by the Metquarter yesterday.
  12. Canel-Golovkin is exciting, don't know who I want to win that one. Think Golovkin will have enough, just.
  13. It was his most exuberant, he got drawn in and really should have won the fight. In terms of boxing, he boxed much better from about 2004 till 2012. I get people love Joshua, and he did really well. Let's not make out he beat a peak boxer though, he beat someone who is 41 and fought one of his most open ever fights.
  14. It still wasn't peak Klitschko, it was the last hurrah of an old man.
  15. Holgate wasn't an Everton product, he was taken from Barnsley like Stones I think.
  16. Messi was always the archetypal big game player, I've never seen a player dominate a Champions League final like he did in 2011. I saw it suggested he may be moved to a central midfield position shortly, which would be an excellent move for Barcelona.
  17. His goal against Zaragoza is my favourite, thought I've done myself with my own faulty argument as they were undoubtedly poor opposition.
  18. My mistake, don't know where I got that from then.
  19. Villareal? It was against Getafe who finished 13th in the Spanish second division. Didht they?
  20. Why? It's a lovely goal, but against substandard opposition. The equivalent now would be exactly what I said, there's no comparison to Maradona's goal in a World Cup Quarter final. Messi has scored many finer goals against decent opposition, this is only notable because of its likeness to another famous goal.
  21. People tend to forget Messi's was against a second divsion side which finished 13th, basically like Hazard scoring a mazy dribble against Barnsley.
  22. For good this time, not fannying around to get another deal?
  23. Adams was already there, it's a convenient and possibly cheaper option than going externally. Adams across as having serious mental health issues to me, I can't see it lasting long.
  24. Will he be all that much use though? He seems to have completely disintegrated, it's a shame.
