I'm not blaming the EU at all, I'm not a Brexiteer. Remainers and Brexiteers have consistently undermined the idea of a decent deal from the outset, this could have been done well but it deliberately hasn't. Leaving the EU successfully was always going to be a 10+ year process, with initially taking some sort of Norway relationship the best option. May handles most of the blame there, however going forward it's clear that some of the Remain side are just wanting us to get into a catastrophic state where we're on the edge of No Deal so we can scrap it altogether.

Plenty of Remainers have to take some responsibility, they are willing to risk No Deal because of the chance they may be able to kill Brexit altogether. There are even calls for them to unilaterally revoke Article 50 now, which would be a disgrace.

We are, simply because everyone agreed to be bound by the result of the referendum. That's the only way a democracy can work, but we are no longer a functioning one. Referenda are a complete anathema to our system and we have now a dual legitimacy, is it the House of Commons or the 'people' that have the power? The genie is out of the bottle now. Suggestions May is going to leave another vote till the 28th May, a complete disgrace and trying to blackmail her deal through. Word is Macron is going to demand there is no extension too. No Deal looks like the favourite now.

Incredibly sad news that North Ferriby United have been formally wound up and no longer exist. People may remember them for a memorable FA Trophy win against the far bigger Wrexham in 2015. Used to go there quite a bit as they were my most local side usually, always played Hull in pre-season. Know people involved at the club personally, will effect many people.

Manchester and Liverpool are severely underboundried to be fair, Birmingham encapsulates a far wider area whereas Liverpool and Manchester are very tightly drawn. If you include Liverpool's bordering urban area, (bootle, Birkenhead, wallassey, Crosby etc) the vote still remains Remain. Similar story in Manchester, although surprisingly Salford voted Leave. It's clearly a mixed bag across the country I just resent this narrative that only middle-class wankers from London and the Home Counties voted Remain, it's not the case. The problem was that those middle-class wankers were the face of Remain and is why Remain ultimately lost. We should set up free independent city states going forward.

How would you phrase the question and what is the barometer for victory, do you really believe a 55% victory for Remain would resolve it? The first referendum was the worst political decision ever made in this country, it's completely undermined our whole democracy, having a second one would not help at all.

I haven't phrased that correctly, I mean cities proper. Merseyside includes boroughs like Knowlsey which includes St Helens absolutely removed from Liverpool both physically and culturally (no surprise it voted leave). Liverpool (City), Wirral and Sefton, which are the main areas of urban Liverpool, voted Remain. Merseyside is not synonymous with Liverpool, likewise Greater Manchester includes yokel places like Wigan which are culturally and physically separate from Manchester. Birmingham as a CITY voted Leave, which makes it different. You're comparing counties with cities there, maybe my mistake in saying 'metropolitan area's but counties aren't automatically that either. London is also totally different from any other area in the country, because Greater London can be classified as one city in a way which Greater Manchester or Merseyside simply cannot.

You're wrong about it being a different world outside of London, Birmingham is in fact the odd one out. Of all the metropolitan areas in the country it was one of the strongest for Leave, the great northern cities (Liverpool and Manchester near enough the same as London) near enough all backed Remain. Your disdain for Scottish people says more about you and your insular, bigoted mentality than anybody else.

Kepa's hardly been a revelation in goal, he looks pretty average. It's worth taking a risk to assert your authority.

Looks like the Heavyweight division is about the enter a new period of nothingness, Fury and Wilder not likely for a while now. Why can't we have a proper sport which is done on merit and not purely on money basis? Give all top level fighters a massive payout for title fights.

I don't think it's fair to lambast Rodgers for moving on now, people like to sneer at Scottish football but he's done an excellent job up there. The football they play is great to watch when they're at their best.

So Corbyn has pretty much backed a second referendum, I imagine he's been badgered into this by Watson et al. I'm in two minds, I'm not keen on a second referendum, firstly because I dislike the principle of referendums at all and secondly I'm not sure it will do any good at all. A slight victory for Remain is as good as it can get for them, and then what? How can that be used a decisive? On the other hand May has backed this country into such an awful position that I'm at a loss to what we can do now, I was hopefuly for some sort of Norway style agreement but that's not going to happen. Another positive is that will possibly destroy the 'TIG' and Umunna.
