  1. Would be amazed if Labour won the election, as riven with splits as the Tories.
  2. Big blow for Spurs, will Levy allow some spending in January, is there anyone who can cover?
  3. Why did you let Clyne go? Title is near enough gone now.
  4. I doubt, though not as confidently as I once did, it will come to that. The vote tomorrow is likely to be lost by May, I think in the ensuing chaos Article 50 will be suspended and it will be kicked down the road a while.
  5. I've watched this, mainly through streaming and wasn't totally taken with it at first. I've recently acquired the DVDs and it's a much better watch, though I'm not quite a superfan like many are. I hope the Ice people come and smash everyone else to pieces, they are the only likeable mob in it.

    Tennis

Don't really keep up with Tennis that much but got a lot of time for Murray, a decent, humble fella who comes across a lot better than vast majority of sportsmen. Good luck to him.
  7. I'm over the unambitious capacity now, please just get this built. It's vital for the city as a whole and it'll potentially be one of the iconic stadiums of Europe, might sound a little grandiose but I drive through this area on a daily basis and it's crying out for regeneration, combined with the magnificent Stanley Tobacco Warehouse just metres away and the rapidly growing Liverpool city centre, it could be something huge. Everton's part it in it is crucial.
  8. Real Madrid are an absolute shambles currently, I realise they are the biggest club in the world but unless they get a big name coach in I'm not sure players will be scrambling to sign for them.
  9. No, I was just being silly and saying they should repeat that amazing signing.
  10. With Liverpool facing a defensive crisis as Lovren, Matip and Gomez all injured, they need someone from somewhere to step into the breach? Could it be time for that man again, that unsung hero...Stephen caulker?
  11. I thought Sarri was the one to be given time, to build something up over a period rather than win a league and then self-immolate? Or is that just never going to happen at Chelsea now?
  12. 'Settled status' is exactly the same thing as indefinite leave to remain. It's cynical they are asking people to stump up so much to apply though.
  13. Liverpool had Barcelona's pants down.
  14. The first chink in the armour? The first wobble in the inevitable collapse? All is not well behind the scenes it seems...
  15. It is capped at 51k for teams outside of the bigger clubs, and I can't imagine Bournemouth brought a load.
  16. The whole 'choke' 'bottle' shtick people throw around is nearly always bollocks. Most of the time the team accused is just not as good over a season/game whatever than the team they lose to.
  17. You don't know what you're talking about it you think he did an 'average job' at Hull. Stick to things you actually know about, if that's anything.
  18. Defence has been an issue for him wherever he's been, I thought with us we were just shit and our two canings came at the end of the season but I'm not sure he really bothers with it. Obviously having an appalling goalkeeper doesn't help at all.
  19. Now that madness has completely prevailed and No Deal seems likely I'm reluctantly in favour of a second vote of some sort, I'm not sure even with some sort of deal or Remaining that Britain can actually be saved now. Our economy is entirely sustained on debt and will be hit by a crisis far worse than 2008 at some point or other. Anyone with any means or intellectual ability should be looking at their options to leave and I predict a serious brain drain over the next 5-10 years, culturally the damage has been done and I don't even know who I blame anymore. Leaving the EU, in the way it's being done, is just a symptom of something far worse in our country, the ideology of greedy selfism has been on the rise since the 80s and was exacerbated by the amorality and cynicism of Blair etc. Our politicians are, nearly without exception, manipulative liars who have absolutely no principles whatsoever. It's a deeply sad time to be a young person in this country.
  20. The country is seriously finished. It's been in a decline for nearly 50 years but this will just expedite the issue. May you live in interesting times they say...twats.
  21. I doubt Vijay does... An absolutely nothing incident, only in cricket would anything be made of it.
  22. I don't see that at all, I think Hitchens has an overly romanticised position of Britain's former position in the world but he's in no way comparing modern Germany to its Nazi past, he goes to great lengths to criticise Britain for involving itself in WW1 and laments the hostility to Germany. Germany quite simply IS the most powerful nation on the continent, this will always be the case. The EU is way of making this fact into a workable relationship, I think using the word 'German empire' is a little inflammatory but the point he's trying to make is not far from the truth.
