  1. 2stone heavier and 4 inches taller, in what world is that a fair fight? Povetkin did well but was naive in the last rounds. Joshua needs to be sparked out soon because no way is he a good boxer.
  2. Generous score carr from froch but happy for hulls finest campbell.
  3. Price retires after 4 rounds. I think he knew he would get ko'd. Farewell to a lovely fella who just dint have it at the top level.
  4. In greece so couldnt watch, has ggg been robbed again?
  5. Nice way for Cook to bow out, one of the few genuinely likeable England players of the past 10 years. Limited as a captain and never the most flamboyant player but his statistics stand up, an all time England great.

She's wrong to think she should have escaped punishment but she's right that high profile players in the men's game do get away with similar things quite often. Djokovic in particularly is a whiny bitch whenever it starts going against him and rarely faces reprimand. More a point about better umpiring though.
  7. Brexit is going to play a big part in a lot of the new stadium stuff, Spurs were lucky they had all their plans in place before the referendum. I wouldn't expect much movement until after March next year, that goes for Everton too.
  8. I do think this Rafa the 'Rebel' thing gets overplayed, he had pretty appalling owners at Liverpool too but only ended up going when he'd taken them out of the top 4. He is a good manager and deserves more respect from the British media but he's a company man like most of them are.
  9. League cup only really alleviates pressure if you combine it with an improved league position/points tally. FA Cup still has something about it, that would be a better trophy.
  10. 'Almost into the buying success class...' Nice to see the plastics still know their own success isn't regarded as legitimate by any real fans and they know their place.
  11. A word on the attendance. 101k. The two biggest clubs by an absolute country mile. Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea are absolute tinpot compared to these two.
  12. Povetkin is a good fighter, past his best now but at least we'll see a fighter who can hurt Joshua.
  13. Manchester United are England's biggest club, for a whole variety of reasons but they always have been. Even in the 70s they were drawing huge crowds, the biggest. They have a pull beyond any other, the Munich disaster pulled the whole country behind them and there is an undeniable romance about them. Liverpool, are the only English club in the same stratosphere as them though, the only club who deserves the title as 'one of the biggest clubs in the world' in England. Liverpool have gone 30 years without a league title, yet they still generate more press attention than Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea...they're just a significantly bigger club. Liverpol have always been a step behind the modern game though, but now they look they're rectifying things a little bit.
  14. Loads of Evertonians out there I hear. Everton have such potential to do big things, really hope this stadium thing works out.
  15. I think it's just the nature of being a huge club, you'll always to be tipped for success. Thompson and Aldridge stand out as absolute gimps though.
  16. Never heard any Liverpool fan say 'it's our year', it's a recycled myth. Would rather Everton do well than Liverpool but a strong Liverpool is good for the city, good to see Liverpool finally punching their weight in the transfer market. Only Manchester United are a bigger club in this country and they are one of the elite clubs in world football.
  17. I'm not sure what the point of this post is, apart from backing up what Liverpool fans are saying. Liverpool are not a sugar daddy club being doped by an oil baron like Chelsea and Manchester City, so there is a difference between how the spending is perceived and rightly so. Of course Klopp will be judged on his signings but they have had to sacrifice to make them.
  18. Well rebel Labour MPS have just saved May in the commons on the customs union, she's like Fergie's united, horrible but gets results out of nowhere.
  19. This past week has seen the Conservative party and our government essentially implode, nobody any the wiser and an opposition unwilling to commit to killing off the government as they're scared of inheriting this clusterfuck. I'm still uncomfortable with idea of a second referendum, it would give the far-right a bone which they could use forever as the mythical 'stab in the back'. It was a terrible decision to hold the referendum but having another one isn't the answer. Aside from the obvious democracy stuff, it's not exactly going to clear anything up, there will be the same stuff repeated, nothing is ever learnt from these things.
  20. In fairness, this is pretty much what England fans have been doing for the past few weeks so it'd be a bit rich if Evertonians got stick for it. Go mad.
