Just want to shout out Paratici and our recruitment team over the last couple of years. We are not there yet and still plenty of room for improvement but to rebuild the squad as we have over the past few years with some exceptional young signings has been very satisfying. Of course some haven’t worked out as well as others but:
Udogie and Sarr for 15 million each is exceptional value. Both young players that are going to go on to have brilliant careers. Van De Ven is perfect for this league. Quick, tall, strong, reads the game so well, good on the ball. I was slightly sceptical in the summer because I didn’t know much about him but he’s so so good. Pedro Porro might be my favourite player. He was expensive, he started off horribly, we were told he was just a wing back but how wrong was this. What a footballer, would be perfect for Pep. Then there is Vicario. What an upgrade on Hugo he was. He has everything you want in a #1 , including personality. Got to keep adding to these, and still some question marks for me in forward positions but it’s great seeing these players develop

I think when you consider we had our second choice keeper and fifth choice centre back, it's an excellent performance. I was worried they'd target Quansah today but he was brilliant.
What a squad Klopp is leaving for the next man
Playing devils advocate, do you believe this? Or is not Klopps brilliance getting such performances out of these players? Possibly a bit of both but I’m not convinced these same players would be performing like this without Klopp

I think a lot still do but I’ve been unconvinced, he just runs a lot which I think has convinced people that hes good but for me theres no real end product when he gets forward, continually loses the ball and hes not that great defensively, just has recovery pace. Put in a couple of real stupid challenges yesterday and I couldn’t believe he had the cheek to get sarcastic with the referee both times, especially when he was on a yellow.
I hope he grows into a better player as its early days with us but he reminds me of Sergi Canos and thats not a good thing.
Youre spot on. There is a real lack of quality there.

I can see why you’ve loaned Reguillon out for a second time in one season @Storts
Your fans were loving him until yesterday!

Josh Dasilva has suffered another long-term injury that will likely keep him out for the season. Massive setback for us but also for Josh, these injuries just keep coming for him.
Karma for that tackle on Hojbjerg

I'd be gobsmacked if Sunderland sold for £10-15m. He is literally their best player. I'm pretty sure they could fetch double that in the summer the rate this market is nowadays.
We get 25% of any fee too

Not to be one to complain but that’s outrageous allowing someone to pick a team at half time and go through

I have no love for Newcastle or their owners but the current rules meaning they can't spend their own money despite not really putting a foot wrong in the money they've spent so far and qualifying for the Champions League at the first realistic attempt, while the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea can piss away a billion each and still be permitted to throw 60m or 80m at their targets, it's ridiculous.
There is no limit to how badly run six clubs can be and they can just try again in the next transfer window. For the rest, every transfer, contract and business decision has to be viewed through the lens of the financial rules and staying on the right side of the line. It's boring.
This is nonsense. Don’t you dare include us in this. We get ridiculed but we’ve done everything well in terms of growing the club organically. We built a new stadium at a huge cost to increase revenue and thus increase our spending power. Our growth financially has been over two decades and we are an example for any of the clubs mentioned previously of how to do things properly. Arsenal are the same.
We’ve been massively fucked over because of Chelsea initially and then City coming in with their unlimited funds and struggling to compete with our sensible financial and growth model. The state run model should not exist and FFP is doing its job properly not allowing them to instantly buy their way to the top because they have unlimited resources, and from a very dodgy source at that.
