Thats hilarious. I actually recently found out a rule for deposits here is they have to pay you back interest. Not nearly as good as this but the original 500$ deposit over 20 years gives you back a few thousand kind of thing. -
Been watching Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. Basically he goes around to all 20ish regions in Italy exploring the food mainly but also the culture and a bit of history thrown in. Italy's always been at the top of my list to see so its been a fun watch.

Its always seemed like Zirkzee's had one foot out the door. Cant tell you why but much like Chris Richards they have always been rumoured with sales and moved on for profit before given a fair shake.

Tel's medical will be completed today, training tomorrow so official announcement to follow but this is how the fee breaksdown.

I too know nothing about him. Barely played any minutes last season for them under 80 mins I think is what I read but clearly very highly regarded by Rennes as well. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Clearly the brass believes in him big time, hopefully this works out

That was a banger of a hearing to finish up for July. Theres is 0 doubt about culpability and dereliction of duty at this point if there ever was any I should say. If the DOJ doesnt pursue charges thats an abomination in of it itself. Hopefully Garland does the right thing. Also the orange stain's buddy Bannon's verdict came in guilty of contempt of congress and failing to appear before the committee.

Would be a record for a 17 year old, I believe the current is Jude Bellingham to Dortmund which was €20m ish if memory serves?

With the summer of Brazzo in full swing, was there ever really a choice?

Watched a couple of doc's by Bryan Fogel over the week. Icarus - 10/10 I had heard about this for years and vaguely knew the story by oh my I was not prepared for this. It starts off interesting enough; Bryan is an avid cyclist and huge Lance Armstrong fan and takes part in an amateur tour de france light kind of competition once a year. He finished 18th the year prior to filming and basically said the top 10 where in their own category like could go pro kind of thing easily a tier above. So he has the idea to hook up with firstly one of the head honchos in anti-doping in the states to start a doping regiment and track his progress and training and try to compete in this competition again all doped up. Basically the anti-doping guy wants to help him but ultimately decides not too and risk his reputation so instead he hooks Bryan up with the head of the Russian anti-droping labs Grigory Rodchenkov and not only does he help him back and forth to dope and beat the testing for this competition but shit starts to implode in Russia as Grigory is in charge of the Russian atheletes and more or less discloses they've been doping their athletes since the 80's and hes been the mastermind behind all of it. The film abruptly switches focus as Bryan essentially helps Grigory escape Russia as shit is hitting the fan and safely brings him to the states and breaks the entire story wide open. Leading to investigations by the IOC etc etc. Id heard this labeled as the biggest doping story in sport history and I was not let down. Absolutely enthralling stuff. Its available on Netflix if you havent had the chance to check it out I emplore you to. The Dissident - 9/10 Because of Icarus Id checked out a few podcast's Bryan Fogel was on in recent years and learned about one his last projects which lead me here. Its about the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Saudi Arabia's Consulate in Istanbul. The story itself is a bit of a slow start building up the entire story and history of Khashoggi and Saudi's monarchy system and what was going on. Its gripping stuff, even knowing some of the backstory from the podcast's its just insane to see it all laid out. Basically power, money and corruption at its finest. Again I highly recommend checking this out the one problem is its much harder to watch this one as no streaming network picked it up. A bit of a back story given on I think it was meathead Rogan's podcast; After all the acclaim Icarus received (sundance festival awards, critical acclaim, academy award etc) The Dissident was his next big thing and it was released again at the Sundance film festival.. big names attended massive hype going in and it got great reviews. BUT going in he said he had 0 requests for pre screening and going out of Sundance 0 offers to put in on streaming platforms. The feedback he got from his sales manager was basically noone wanted to touch it, too dangerous etc. So the only place you can watch it (legally I should add) is renting it for 20$ on amazon video. Its crazy to think but power and money and all that reaches pretty far.

I just finished reading The Witcher Blood of Elves (book 1) Excellent read, only what? 7 more books in the series to go

The entire system is fucked when it comes to money in congresss. The insider trading is atrocious but its appalling accross the board. Campaign financing is disgusting politicians are opening bought by big corporations and even the spending of campaign funds is hilarious what they get away with. I saw a little while back MTG that fuckwad had in her funds pay for a luxury suv - I dont recall which but it was a domestic fully loaded to the tits totaling nearly a hundred grand. Theres no issue with that because of course she can allocate funds towards that as its needed to go around campaigning. I get legitimately mad for people in the states.

Couple more transfers still in the works. Rennes 17 year old prodigy striker Mathys Tel and Laimer from RB. Chris Richards on the verge of a move to Crystal Palace for around €15m (of which Dallas FC gets 30% ish) Zirkzee on his way out as well (looking for a price of €10m-€15m. Lastly rumours of potentially Pavard being up for sale to recoup some of the De Ligt money.. we'll see how that develops, personally I hope he sticks around as the depth will undoubtedly be needed. Potentially a backup option?

Mexico was hot literally and figuratively. Never been there in the summer before but man was it a great place to recharge and relax. We've been to the resort once before just before COVID and it's some of the best beaches in the Mayan Riviera plus it's a massive compound (6 hotels on it). Ventured a bit, did a fishing trip and went to Chichen Itza (hadn't been there in about 12 years), went to a few different cenote's and snorkeled a bunch. Ive got a tonne to sort through but here's some for pics for now!

I agree; my interest was waning pre covid but that probably made things worse as well. I still watch nearly every Bayern match but not a whole lot else anymore, thats also partly due to time; I just dont have enough of it! The ocassional Bundesliga clash or some of the big champions league matches otherwise but far less interest in neutral matches for sure. -
Well good thing we have reinforcements.

And it's official.

Good news, hopefully true.

I know he keeps repeating that he will run again in 2024 but I love how the question keeps coming, its like "are you sure? " I dont see how he runs again but If he does im not sure thats a good thing.

I got to play around with my buddies steam deck a couple weeks ago, they ordered first day. It seems pretty great. Even booting up Epic Game store and loading games like GW2 or with steam actually worked pretty seamless. They got the mid range one and I have to say the FPS and overall performance was very impressive. He did say the battery is kinda so so was his only complaint so far. Apparently Q2 emails have all been sent and Q3 which im apart of is starting to send out reservation emails by the end of the month.

Save your sanity man. It is the exact opposite of hearsay - shes under oath and in the perfect position to observe all of these people. Also guess what? most of this was not a revelation, most of this has already been corroborated by several other people under oath, she provided extra clarity on the situation with a first hand recount. The mental gymnastics to deny these facts at this point is hilarious ...when even Fox News couldnt deny it anymore..im speechless. The long and the short of this is the DOJ is doing their own investigation and whether they bring forth charges or not on the Orange wonder is somewhat irrelevant. Its not in that it would set a dangerous precedence going forward with what can be done in plain sight of everyone but it isnt in that the damage has been done to the Republican party and Democracy in general. Whether the Orangutan is in the picture or not this is the blue print going forwad.. theres no dial to bring this back to reality. The thing im most afraid of is someone much smarter then the stain such as Ron DeSantis replaces him things will only get worse.
