Was that the stretch in between basically Minnesota/CBJ/Nashville to Vegas? It has to be right? That is kinda crazy. -

Im far too rooted into hockey to probably ever stop watching but ill offer my opinion on what you bring up. The realignment makes sense given they keep adding teams to the league ever handful of years. As example traditional alignment had the Winnipeg Jets in the east, I dont expect you to know Canadian Geography but Winnipeg is where the Canuck's had their farm team for example so quite close just a couple provinces over from BC. Back when the Jets originally played there where less teams and thats how they balanced the divisions... it never made senese for them to be in the east so if anything they corrected a mistake... same thing with the Red Wings but the opposite... they where in the west and now are correctly in the east. As far as renaming conferences I do tend to agree but I cant really be arsed either way. Ditching ties is a touchy subject. It drastically affects historical stats and for that I dont like it one bit. I also hate how they have different rules for playoffs and regular season as far as only having 5 min OT's then shootout and playoffs traditional ot sudden death. That being said the 3 on 3 OT and shootout are pretty fun to watch. Specifically the 3 on 3 OT just giving these guys more space to work with and end to end rushes and non stop plays is must watch stuff. The obstruction calls are all well and alive they've moved onto eliminating or reducing anyways crosschecks this season. The any sort of stick in the hands is basically an auto call still. That brings my real gripe up is how the reffing and rules change every year for playoffs, all of a sudden the rulebook is completely different.. I still hate it. -

Oh I have 0 doubts that it would ever come to fruition and for good reason.. Something that drastic of a change isnt even necessary and protecting traditions are important in sport imo. Still an interesting idea and Im glad they do talk about things like this even if its for 5 minutes and 1 person in the room is for it and then you fire that person into the sun. -

Saw this as well tis interesting. I kind of have the same opinion as you but its tough to say as we are naturally bias to the format being North American. I mean Ive grown up watching fusball and the title race albeit not that interesting lately has traditionally been very exciting. At the same time NHL playoffs is the best hockey to watch. At the end of the day I dont know if it would be good or not and I know nothing. Carry on. -
Keep going King keep going.... Like anyone, Bayern Munch winger Kingsley Coman sees the transfer rumors always floating around the club and knows that the Rekordmeister is always capable of getting a player that it wants. Still, Coman thinks that it is a great thing that Bayern Munich’s group is built on a lot of players who have been in the club for years. “Bayern also have money, but not as much as most clubs in England or PSG. But that alone is not the point anyway. Our team is really a team. We are a unit that sticks together even in difficult situations. That’s the most important thing,” Coman told Sport1. “We also have a lot of people around our team who work very well. It’s nice to see that more and more young players are being promoted.” As far as some of those players who were promoted in the club’s recent history, Coman has come away impressed with both Jamal Musiala and Tanguy Nianzou. “Jamal is very, very good. You can tell when someone has talent. I felt it in the first training when he was only 17. He has a lot of quality and is getting better and better. Step by step he will develop physically and become a man. That’s very good for us,” Coman said. “(Nianzou) trains very well, is serious and motivated. Sometimes you just have to be patient and give yourself time. Tanguy is ready, he definitely shows that. And with talents like him, Jamal or (Josip) Stanišić, we are very well equipped for the next few years.”

Yeah well see what happens I wouldnt be surprised either but I know from the original release they claimed they where very conservative and it still couldnt happen, they also mention "start" the roleout at the end of Feb so yeah I wouldnt expect to get it until March at the earliest either way.

Did anyone ever end up ordering a steam deck? Supposed to be shipping starting end of this month. I did end up ordering the middle option, pretty stoked with everything Ive seen so far anyways.

I need to watch it, I love me some Jimmy Carr. Thats just par for the course.
-
Apparently the latest Jimmy Carr netflix special is causing a stir. One joke in particular ill link here... youve been warned if you dont know who Jimmy Carr is basically shock comedy; the jokes about The Holocaust and Gypsies. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/jimmy-carr-traveller-joke-netflix-special-b2007794.html?jwsource=cl

Binged The White Lotus well I was off. Different, kinda quirky but quite relatable and touched on alot of different subject matter. Quite enjoyed it overall.

Some clarification on Goretzka's recent injury setback..hope for the best but it doesnt sound too optimistic. From Hip problems to Covid to this knee issue argh.

Paul Wanner signs a long term extension - no details yet but deal is confirmed.
-
Just wrapped up Mr Robot. Man what a series. This is definitely one of the top couple series ive seen in recent years. I love the unpredictability of it all and the end reveal is just chef's kiss. Highly, highly recommend. Rami Malek is so, so good.

I have not but I do know the story about his parents if that's what this is. It's absolutely crazy.
-
Pretty good source on this one, traces back to Kerry Hau and hes rarely wrong. Sad to see him go but definitely replaceable. He never really made the jump to demand a starting role...if he never had the ACL injury I wonder what could have been. Anyways wish him luck, well find a replacement.

The athletic just released an article about it apparently the victim was 12 at the time and he knew her age what a sick fuck. Also two more girls came forward one similar age one 17 that said he had tried to solicit pictures from them as well. I hope they look at that sentencing Jesus Christ.
-
Yeah I saw that story. He was a part of our AHL team for the passed several years, being a perenial AHL allstar and had a handful of games for the nucks in that time. I absolutely cannot fathom how the victim feels see him basically get a slap on the wrist for what he did. Disgusting is the right word.

Davies said to be out a couple of weeks..supposedly a mild case.. hopefully thats all it is here, thats a tad worrysome. Also should mention Kimmich was named Germany's men's player of the year. Well deserved.
-
Done deal. Good stuff. If he see's out this contract will put him at the club for 12 years. Still hearing Gnabry is close to an extension will get done soon and now Neuer as well.
-
It is maybe a bit high but makes more sense then selling him and trying to find an adequate replacement imo. His form in the last 12-18 months has been excellent overall just needs to find some more consistency.. story of our wings in general I suppose. I should mention this isnt the third highest wage either.. Lewy is tops with Kimmich, Neuer and Müller all around €20m ish. He will be in the Goretzka neighbourhood. It certainly does signal everyone pushing wages though. In related news nothing new to report about Gnabry but word is its still close to an extension there as well.
-
Yeah, often injured unfortunately. Even in between major injuries he was always one to pick up knocks and miss a few weeks at a time.
-
Wanner was one standout in his very limited action against Gladbach. Looked promising for a 16 year old, saw this mash up posted earlier on the Bayern subreddit.
-
Coman likely heading towards a long term extension is the word as per Julian Maynard. Hopefully the case!
-
Im about 25% into my second playthrough of RDR2 before I took a pause for Ghosts.. definitely reminded me to get back to it. Theres just so many little things if you're traveling throughout... the world feels so well built.. its just a special game, take your time and enjoy it!

Right!? Even reading recent quotes he talks about how he still thinks hes good enough...not short on self confidence I suppose. Ability was never an issue though hes clearly very talented just seems like its between the ears more then anything. Too many stories of behind the scenes things and shots of him throwing his sub bib to not believe where theres smoke etc..
