Great away win for Fylde yesterday 6-0! On their day as good as anyone in the league and they have improved defensively this season but in those games where they keep a clean sheet they need to find that cutting edge to grab a goal and nick it 1-0 rather than draw 0-0 (which they have done a number of times this season).

Looking forward to a top of the table clash this evening at Mill Farm live on BT Sport, come on Fylde!

Yet another comfortable win for Fylde, this time at home to Dover. 4-0 winners and it could have been more - Danny Rowe with another 2 goals. It looks like another promising season for Fylde with the play offs a realistic aim.

I went to the Fylde v Solihull game last night - Fylde were unbeaten and Solihull had a 100% record but Fylde played them off the park in the first half. The second goal was one of the best I've ever seen for around the half way line! Second half Solihull were much better but Fylde managed to see out the game. I also got to meet Tim Flowers at HT and have a chat about his Blackburn days as he is now the Solihull manager.

Fylde are looking very good so far this season and really looking forward to what the season holds!

I went and I was very happy with what I saw from a Rovers perspective. We only made one sub whereas Everton pretty much had two teams playing, both of which should be beating us comfortably. Despite going in at half time 2-0 up when Everton brought on the experienced and expensive signings they did I thought we'd do well to hold on. They missed some chances second half but so did we. I was really impressed by our fitness and tactical approach throughout the game, and we also played some nice football at times. Very encouraging signs for the season! As for Everton, in comparison to seeing Liverpool at Ewood just a week earlier the difference in quality is huge. We just about competed with Liverpool in the first half but in the second they blew us away. I'd worry about the ageing defence (and just generally shit defence in relation to Ashley Williams) and lack of consistent goalscorer. Richarlison looked bright when he came on but he was against an inexperienced full back who has mainly played at League One level and last season for Watford bar a fantastic opening 10 games went missing for the rest of the season.

Where are Lookman, Walcott and Holgate??

Did Jonny Smith look good?

Yesterday, no. But most games I've seen this season he has been one of the better players. He is still inconsistent as you would imagine as he is still fairly young and inexperienced but he has the pace and skill to be a decent football league player. I'd love to see him back at Fylde next season whether they are League Two or National League, but not sure whether that will happen. However, I don't think he would be good enough to compete in the Championship right now.

No Rovers game tomorrow so off to AFC Fylde to watch them play Solihull in a huge game in the race for the play offs!

Fylde coming from 1-0 down to beat Sutton 2-1 at Mill Farm yesterday! That result means they are now well in the play offs with just 4 games to go...this is dream land for the club in the first season at this level. No team will want to play Fylde in the play offs - on their day they have shown this season they can beat (and hammer) ANY side in this league! 

AFC Fylde 7-1 Aldershot! On their day, Fylde can beat anyone in this league and comfortably (Tranmere, Macclesfield etc). If they did manage to get into the play offs this season in their first season at this level, it would be an incredible achievement. I can genuinely see Fylde progressing similarly to other local clubs like Fleetwood, but I wonder if this season would just be a season too soon to go up. If they can keep hold of Rowe, Muldoon, Montrose, Angol etc and add some more good loans from the league they can go again next season with the experience of this season and give it a real good go! As Rovers are away next weekend, I'm going to see Fylde at home to Hartlepool. 

AFC Fylde beat the leaders 6-0 at the weekend! they are having a fantastic season and with their game in hand tomorrow evening they could go into the play offs. They are such a good team to watch and have some very talented players. The club keeps growing and I can see them doing similar to the likes of Fleetwood slowly making their way up the leagues.

I'm going in May, is the ice hockey season on then? I've had a bit of a look and know the MLS and baseball seasons are.

Trip to Toronto booked for next year, I can't wait to sample some of the Canadian sport (and food!). Plan on taking in an MLS game if Toronto are at home along with some baseball.

One thing though and hopefully some of you can help me out is how do you go about getting tickets for non-league fixtures? You can buy tickets online for AFC Fylde - you can get them delivered, print them or use your phone I think! Tickets are always available on the day either sitting or standing. The smaller national league clubs there is always tickets available on the day. I remember doing my first non-league away day and I travelled without a ticket, it was a weird feeling!! but there was no problem getting a ticket on the day at the away ground. I think you will be fine for both clubs just turning up on the day to buy a ticket.

I'm 29 and have owned my own home for 2 years with my partner after saving up by living with my parents and also we were lucky we had some short term financial backing from my parents. Its a 3 bedroom detached new build house in a good area, and a house we can stay in for 10 years and have a child and pet in. We are lucky we like in the north west outside of the big cities as prices are reasonable otherwise we wouldn't be in this position. We pay just over £500 mortgage and bills are fairly cheap as its a new build and just the two of us (in total around £900 a month all in bills and mortgage including sky TV, direct debits for furniture). We would be spending much more if we were renting, and wouldn't have as nice a house but you need the deposit for a house which takes years of sacrifices (living with parents, saving, budgeting, less nights out/expensive clothes etc). 

Huge first win of the season for Fylde yesterday away at Hartlepool. It has to be one of the best results in their history. Home to Barrow on Monday, can't wait!

At the end of the month I'm flying to Ljubljana then getting the train to Zagreb, then train again to Split, and an overnight stay in Mostar. Mini European adventure...any recommendations in those places?

Fylde win 3-0 at Boston to win national league north! They've scored 105 goals this season and Danny Rowe has got 46 of them!!! #coasters 

I went to my first non-league away game yesterday - Halifax v AFC Fylde. Massive result for Fylde, winning 1-0, which means they are 6 points clear at the top with just 3 games left. A win at home on Monday and they will pretty much be champions regardless of the Kidderminster result as their goal difference is very good. Danny Rowe scored his 44th league goal, just the 22 ahead of second place in the goalscoring charts! 

Really enjoying watching my local non-league team, AFC Fylde, this season. They have a new ground and lots of financial backing, and it is paying off with them 11 points clear at the top of the league. Top scorer Danny Rowe has over 40 goals already this season and their games are very entertaining. They got a valuable last minute equaliser to 2nd place Kidderminster at the weekend which pretty much sealed promotion bar a complete collapse. They can then test themselves in the conference next season.
