  1. For all you GoT fans let's see how clever you are, in the link below is a quiz on the MSN News page called 'How well do you know Game of Thrones'? 25 questions, no good me doing it as I have never watched GoT. Game of Thrones quiz

See the wife has done it again and picked Taking Risks in the Scottish Grand National which came first at 20/1 fixed odds, 50p each way and I scraped in a 3rd in Blue Flight at 28/1, 50p each way, not a bad day for us. The Welsh & Irish Grand Nationals next and that's us for a year betting on the horses.

Scottish Grand National today, the wife won on Tiger Roll at Aintree or really won her money back with a couple of pounds to spare so more than likely she will win again today on one of her horses she picked, my little darling has the bloody knack of winning on the nationals every year by just picking the name of the horse and the jockey riding it.
  4. Sunny but nippy at 2c, nice day though for the Scottish Grand National.

@nudge, any comments, what would you have done? I can't help but saying she looks like Rodney in Only Fools and Horses
  6. Hate him or love him R.I.P. Tommy, one of the last of the hard nuts of football of years gone by, not like nowadays, touch someone with your finger and they fall down and roll over if they had been hit by a steam roller, in Smiths days players would get hacked down by the likes of Norman "Bite Your Legs" Hunter and they would just pick themselves up, dust themselves down and get on with the game.

Any takers? I live here in Edinburgh but I doubt if the wife would let me hire such
  8. So my original post that it was a prank was right and a few of us fell for it left, right & centre Serious though, the poor guy has not been back online since Monday so I hope he is ok and gets his dosh back, I know if I lost a big amount of money like that it would make me sick as a dog.
  9. I will whack in another £10 at the end of the month, a certain person who I thought had donated £3,000 into here threw me off a bit and I thought we would all be cushy donation wise for the next 3 years!! I am wondering how the poor guy is getting on though and if he has managed to get back his lost 3,000, he hasn't posted in here since Monday and that is unusual for him?
  10. This should really be in @Bluewolf 's Science Fiction thread but seeing you mentioned it...
  11. Just logged on to post that and thought "I bet a pound to a penny Inger has beaten me to it" I was right Brilliant piece of space news that and now we know that there are Black Holes out there
