  7. Just thinking back to 14 years ago before we moved here and lived in Niddrie/Craigmillar area of Edinburgh, a right rough & ready place but once the locals got to know you then things were fine, they have pulled down the old blocks of flats that were there now and built up to date tenements. I was talking about one part of that life with the wife and we had a good laugh, the council then around 2001 decided to supply stand up green wheelie bins for rubbish instead of just leaving your black bags out for the dustman on rubbish day, what a disaster if was for months. The first day was OK but once night time came it was like watching a movie with kids running riot lol, there was wheelie bins set on fire, lids left open for all the scavengers like Gulls, Crows and pigeons ripping bags apart. The funniest thing we saw was around 22:00 hrs when we heard a racket outside and police sirens going off, there was kids having wheelie bin races around the estate, the rubbish was discarded and the bins used as go carts with kids inside the bins with other pushing them like chariots.

  10. Lol, you are back, a lot of us wondered where you had disappeared to.
  11. I don't think any of the Reacher books would make a brilliant film and even now when reading any of them I still get a completely different image of Reacher than Ritchson but at least he is better than Cruise, someone like Liam Neeson or Tommy Lee Jones would make a good Reacher.
  12. I am a Lee Child/Jack Reacher fanatic and have read all his books and have everyone of them, so what you said that a good series ends with 1 season I will partly agree with you with the fact that the first 2 Reacher film's the character Reacher was played by Tom Cruise. As we know and it was mentioned by many critics that Tom Cruise was 5ft 6inc and a skinny little runt where the character Reacher was around 6ft 6inc and a 50 inch barrel chest and hands like spades, so they got it right in the new series with Alan Ritchson as Reacher and I quite enjoyed the 3 series by Ritchson as Reacher. Ritchson is around 6ft 4inch and has the looks of Reacher when you read the books. But as per normal the book is better than the film as is all films taken off a book, the first John Wick film with Keanu Reeves was brilliant but I watched the second one and never bothered with 3 of 4 as it was all the same, to much kung-fu fighting all the way through, Rambo, First Blood was another good example, First Blood was good but the others shite
  13. Cheers, this week then... Premier League, Sat 20th Jan Arsenal v Palace, Arsenal to win Brentford v Forrest, Forrest to win.
