Edinburgh In the first photo of White Horse Close the wife maintains she saw a ghost outside near the steps on New Year's Day, 1958 when she went outside after midnight to watch the fireworks from Edinburgh Castle, she said she scarpered back inside quick smart. TheScotsmanHistoryandHeritage

That sounds bad buddy, I know I suffered once from ammonia poisoning, I was working in a potato factory in Australia when I was a young lad and they made frozen chips and it was my job to go inside the freezer and clean up any cut potato chips that fell off the moving belt and also to bleed the freezer and let excess ammonia out, I can remember the white fumes coming out the tap and I inhaled a small portion. These were the days in the late 60s when Health & Safety laws were more or less non-existent, that knocked me for six and I was off work for 2 days.

I was going to create a new thread for this but, just in case, I have posted it in here, a very good read in my opinion.

To make matters more difficult, an ICBM can only be intercepted at certain points on its journey: when it launches, when it is out in space, and when it re-enters the atmosphere. Each of these phases “has its limitations”, said LiveScience.10 Jun 2022 https://www.theweek.co.uk/news/defence/957033/can-anything-stop-a-nuclear-bomb#:~:text=To make matters more difficult, its limitations”%2C said LiveScience.

Well, the wee fella Avocado is with our daughter now around her flat and has been introduced to his big brother and sister (Pudidn & Banana), a couple of growls and hisses and Avocado putting his back up but all quiet on the western front now.
