Brazilian Phonk is a strange and addictive genre of music to discover.

Different rules for "allies" regardless of how obvious it is that they're scum. People even get mad and gaslight whoever stands up to those types of countries...

You playing the "both sides are equally responsible" card, which implies Palestinians should be more tolerating of their oppression without any resistance, might make sense to you but no sane minded person who's being objective and empathetic is going along with that. I have also said that I'm able to criticise Hamas for the wrong that they do but as far as standing up to Israel, can't blame them for that at all. Same with the Houthis. That's the opposite of viewing things in black and white. Viewing certain parts as good or bad isn't a contradiction to that as I'm acknowledging it's not all one thing and that it is made up of different parts. Something which you're not doing. The sad and unfortunate thing is that it will probably lead to the deaths of more innocent people but that'd be the fault of those that view killing people in the middle east as normal, not the fault of those standing up to it. Just like slave rebellions, the slave masters punishing slaves and being harsher with slaves after rebellions wasn't the fault of slaves that dared to step out of line. I can stay consistent with that logic. Some will go "No point rebelling when you know it's gonna lead to a brutal response and it'd be your fault" one day and "of course they're gonna rebel, the brutal response proves what they have to deal with and their rebelling should be applauded" on another day...

Specifically saying that there are no good guys and that I judge on a case by case basis where "If they're doing bad things, I say they're doing bad things but if they're doing good things, I say they're doing good things" is suddenly now a case of treating things as being too black and white when compared to people saying "They're bad so everything bad. Circumstances don't matter "... Sure.
-
Wow you figured it out. Well done. You may want to look at things lazily in a black and white way and good luck with that but that's not gonna be me. "These are the good guys on the international scene and they only do good things and those are the bad guys that only do bad things" is a very media trusting way to look at things though. It's sweet.
-
What I said really isn't that complicated but you're making it out to be just so you can pretend you're taking the right stance. If they're doing something good, I'll say they're doing something good. If they're doing something bad, I'll say they're doing something bad. Not that complicated.
-
Yep. No "good guys" so I'll judge situations on a case by case basis rather than blindly follow or blindly discredit based on names. Or throw a blanket over things and judge things by if they're "US backed" or "Iran backed"... It's a much smarter and less naive way of looking at things in my opinion.

Oh no. That part I agree with. Them fucking with Nazi Israel is top notch stuff though and should be praised.

Yemen doing some good work. Rumours are that a peace deal between Yemen and Saudi Arabia is possible but the US is trying to make sure that doesn't happen. US foreign policy genuinely is the biggest poison in international politics.

The more you find out about the UN security council, the more you find out how ridiculously it's set up. The 5 members with veto power are UK, USA, France, Russia, and China. UK & France rarely veto as they only want to secretly be cunts. The other 3 can't stop vetoing. Their interests aren't aligned and they don't necessarily care about people dying in order to protect those interests and that seems to always get in the way of their peace keeping. 5 countries who don't have the best history in international politics either so of course they want to be viewed as the judges of international politics. Best way to get away with everything. It also says a lot about how bad guys are the only ones that can keep other bad guys in check in international politics. These countries being experienced war criminals is why they were able to beat Nazi & friends.
-
The US vetoes the UN security council vote on a ceasefire. No surprise there. A ceasefire should obviously happen but it's the bare minimum. Unfortunately there will never be anywhere near a satisfactory step towards justice for the crimes Israel has committed over the decades.

A long title reign is good if it's warranted. When they're doing it for the sake of it, it's just pointless. You'd think with them wanting to establish a new title they'd want a good title reign.

Aw gee mister, thanks for being super pedantic and providing a link about wars.

Qatar has made changes to workers rights by removing the kafala system and the fact they were wanted an influx of foreigners from different countries is also a step in the right direction. Regardless of how slow it is, contact and communication between different people is what creates positive change. And you and the other poster were just talking about Saudi Arabia progressing. But now that's somehow been wiped from your memory... I guess no one should host sports tournaments because anyone capable of hosting one is run by cunts. Or we do what we do for every tournament in the west where sports is viewed separately from a country's politics but we do it for non-western countries as well. I guess being consistent isn't for everyone.
-
The similarities to Israel continue... Nothing will happen though. Unless you're a massively powerful nation like Russia or China, you have to be a US ally if you want to commit wars.
-
I like that you're now adding the US to the list. Something you didn't used to do before and something that no one in sports media that uses the term "sports washing" does, and that's one of the reasons why people shouldn't take people that use it seriously. Clear and obvious double standards. It also doesn't work as far as getting people to be okay with politics they otherwise would've disagreed with so it's pointless to cry about it. But if people are going to do it then hopefully they're at least consistent. One way "sports washing" works is actually in a positive way... Progress in countries is proven to happen when a country's trying to impress and prove themselves capable. Qatar & Saudi Arabia are good examples of that. Hooray for sports washing I guess.

Something from an under appreciated legend.

The guy has been shady for a long time. At least Suge Knight had the decency to let everyone know he was a scumbag.

So, how long are the snowballs around for?
-
Most people are stupid but most people don't care about international politics to begin with. "Sports washing" means nothing to them. And to the people that care about international politics, they won't be affected by sports taking place in a country. And whether they're shaped by moronic logic or not, they'll have strong opinions which won't be swayed by sports. And as I've mentioned many times before, the fact that the term only exists for non-western countries exposes a level of xenophobia behind its use.

You're right, there's only a genocide going on. No need to be dramatic and be angry at those committing it. Silly me. Israeli supporters really do lack any type of humanity. Gets proven again and again whenever you hear one of their supporters speak. They also generally tend to be bigoted people so it's unfortunately not even surprising.

Hopefully it explodes easy and takes out every IDF terrorist near it.
