  1. AMN plotting an escape. Can't blame him with him being used as a fringe player now. Was playing for England last year. Don't really know why Arteta doesn't rate him. Talented player that can do a good job in a lot of positions. Hope we don't sell him because of Arteta. Same with Guendouzi.

People don't seem to realise that WWE is a much bigger, global promotion when compared to any other promotion. AEW are a long way off bringing in the same amount of money.

Great to have Lesnar back. Understands wrestling more so than most wrestlers just want to have fun with friends. As for Becky Lynch, she's always been booked poorly. Even when her push started, the booking didn't make sense but she got cheered so it didn't matter. And her title reign was horrible. Good to have her back though as things were getting stale in the women's division. Don't know why Belair had to be squashed though. Twice as talented as Lynch.

It was heavily hinted at. They didn't out right confirm it but people were expecting it to happen yesterday. As for the return, it was a great ovation but I'm hoping that going forward we don't get such a fan pandering version of Punk. No one wants that. Doesn't need to be a heel but doesn't need to be sucking up either.
  5. Would be happy with the Odegaard signing and to be honest I'm surprised that we're close to getting him with the state we're in.
  6. To be honest, I don't know how I feel about that. Wasn't a massive fan of Coutinho even when he was at Liverpool. Pjanic would be a better fit. None of it is true though according to Fabrizio Romano.
  7. Laporta revealed that the club are £1.15b in debt! Is there a chance the club will have to go into administration (or whatever the Spanish equivalent is) and start again?
  8. Already been posted in the match thread by @Bluewolf.
  9. Being concerned is just normal now. The fact that the results are still quite close and the game against Chelsea basically would be a draw in proper competition makes it look like we at least keep the score down and that's exactly how Arteta wants to play. Made sense for the first few months under his management as everyone thought he's bringing stability first and then he'll build on it but he seems to be content with it. A team full of attacking midfielders that gets caught out on the counter was a great period for us. We're not even as good as 5 years ago right now.

In other news, Cena has returned more goofier than ever. You can tell he's just doing this as a favour and it doesn't mean anything to him. Reigns/Balor would've been better.

The whole thing was pretty crappy to be honest. Wrestling shouldn't have so much hocus pocus nonsense. Undertaker teleporting was borderline but even he did a lot of cringe worthy magic tricks. Enjoyed all the early video promos from this version of Bray Wyatt but the Hawaiian shirt, deep south, cult leader was much better overall. The most messed up thing about this is them having Bliss basically replace him in his own gimmick and then letting him go.

WWE have those guys. Vince is just looking for those one or two wrestlers that can "break out" into the mainstream. Doesn't seem to care that much about anything else. Everything else is repetition or some mad experimentation.

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan both reportedly joining AEW.

One problem for AEW is that they can't push all of these guys at the same time. Christian already feels like a nothing signing and Brian Cage must want out. WWE creating an unsettled roster for AEW just like their own.
  16. Marseille taking advantage of Arteta falling out with players. Guendouzi and Saliba on loan. Won't be surprised if they're continually loaned out until their contracts run out because the club is run by idiots. Maitland-Niles will probably be loaned out next. Need to make space and not make any money before we spend a lot of money on Kia Joorabchian clients. What a plan. At least we'll get to see some of the mess behind the scenes, although with cameras around people will probably portray some sort of sense. Would've been more entertaining last season though with the club desperately forcing players out of the club.

It was over when they decided that they no longer wanted the cruiserweight title or wrestlers in the cruiserweight title picture to appear on the show exclusively for cruiserweight wrestlers.

I always thought that they could've done more with Fandango but with where he was actually positioned, his release isn't a massive surprise. Same with the rest. Nothing really that surprising.
  19. Do the winners of Euro 96 talk about Euro 96 more than England? Who actually won that tournament...?

Honestly i'dbe happy for England if they won something, but fuck me you'll be insufferable for years. Spain doing 3 in a row will be less talked about than the time England came 4th because they beat Sweden and Columbia.

I would get the shivers if England won anything nowadays, every time a World Cup comes up they start showing 1966 in all its splendour and glory and "They think it's all over, it is now..." bellowing out of the tv when they get knocked out nowadays the media will rip them apart and even blame the tea-lady for their demise, it becomes a pain in the arse nowadays.

Just to add, I was born in England and my old man was English but not here anymore but I can remember him many moons ago when he was alive saying "I wish the fucking media would shut up about the 1966 WC win and they think its all over, it is now, the players live on a knife-edge thanks to them building them up as world-class then knocking them down when they lose then sack the manager.

  20. An attacking midfielder is definitely the main priority. Or it should be. Have highly rated youngsters in Saliba and Mavropanos that should be bedded into the squad with Gabriel, Holding, Mari, and Chambers there on top of that.

Eva Marie and Mandy Rose are there for other, non-wrestling reasons... although Mandy actually looked a lot better in the ring than Eva Marie when she was teaming with Sonya Deville (who's now an authority figure for some reason). The women's scene on SmackDown isn't too bad (apart from the Bellas/Bayley thing).

Didn't they just start a new push for Black? Murphy & Ruby are super talented as well but they weren't being used. Not a fan of Strowman but at one point he was over, then they booked him like shit. Hocus, pocus stuff with The Fiend and a shit title run ruined him. Still remember him clapping his hands and chanting "Thank you Taker" as the champion. Looked like a fucking tool. Lana was being used as well so her release is a bit of a surprise as well. Have little info on Garrett other than her randomly being a Rumble entrant. Not knowing what to do with some of the wrestlers that have been released recently is pretty incredible. Would say that Black, Murphy, Ruby Riott, Andrade, and Joe would all be great additions to AEW but they've not done well with anyone new that they signed since their first show.

Apparently AEW fans and AEW wrestlers are continuing to help the narrative that they're massively sensitive bitches in response to Jim Ross saying he likes Randy Orton.
  24. Sound Of Metal - 8/10. Riz Ahmed, amazing as usual.
  25. Pepe has not only been one of our most productive players on the pitch but has probably had the best moments of quality. Lacazette has been the most hard working. Saka & ESR had the biggest impact (positively) on how we play. And Leno, even though he made one or two mistakes, kept us in a lot of games. Player of the season is one out of those five. Would mention Tierney as well, but spent too much time out with injury.
