Off to Spain for a few days at the end of the month, be living it up in Marbella on NYE. Can't wait. Next year's big holiday will be to Vegas and LA. Vegas was class this year so be great to go back and head to LA for a few days too.

Feels like the end of the Ashley era, I don't think he is going to accept the bid - Craig Hope has already said as much, but it's a positive sign that the due diligence went well and that the interest is genuine. Hopefully we are sold by January. Like I say this is the first time it feels like the end of Ashley, not just smokescreens and bullshit.

If I was telling the story - adding the gory details then it is a pretty entertaining one I reckon. And if I told some of the excuses as well ha. I'm not going to lie I had to be talked out of giving him a hiding on the last day. The two cockney lads were both sound as a pound as well.

Taking the piss that since April. I booked up late to go to Ibiza with a few of my mates late August - they were going for a week from Saturday to Saturday and I wanted to just go Tuesday to Saturday. A friend of a friend said in the groupy on Facebook that he would book up with me. Daft cunt here agreed to pay for the flights and hotel on my credit card, the other lad sent me the £100 for the flights and asked if I could wait until the day we went for the hotel coin. I said that was sound and then 2 days before we go I get excuses that he was at a session and someone nicked it all. I was having my doubts about him having never really met him much and done a bit of research and was warned about him. Over there we both had our money nicked on the first night, about €400 each. I had money in the bank but he had nowt. He literally sat in the hotel room sniffing the coke he had bought on the first day cos he couldn't afford to go out and no one trusted him to lend him money. Then on the second last night he went out with these two lasses from Leeds. The last day he literally hid in the room all day. I knew something was up so I asked and he had got 4g on Chucky off these two dealers from London who lived in the hotel 2 rooms down from us. They were knocking on the door every 5 minutes and questioning us all. He literally had to hang and drop off the balcony and sneak to the airport. The amount of excuses I have had off the cunt since for not giving me it, I finally lost it last week and he dropped arsed and gave me every penny. Fucking shite boring story but the moral is if you don't put your foot down you'll never get it. Tell person B to fuck off.

Rafa could take us to the Northern Alliance league and I would forever be grateful to him for that. Not only is the lad absolutely fucking dross he is clearly a prick as well. On the subject of knives when I working in security there was a young lad drug dealing in the toilets of a bar. I told him to just leave the bar but he was adamant he done nothing wrong so I asked to search him. In his pocket I found a few bags of coke and some fake notes. I took them off him and told him to fuck off, he was a mouthy cunt and the lad I worked with gave him a slap and he pissed off. 20 minutes later one of the regulars came from the big terrace area on the side to tell me that the lad was back and had a huge knife saying he was going to chop me up. Not going to lie I was shitting it. Luckily there was a police van passing so I pulled it over and told them and they went and lifted him. Would never grass on anyone but when it's a matter of life or death then fuck it. Downside was a young lass drinking in the bar seen everything and told the Police that I had took drugs off him so I had to hand them over. Nearly as painful as being stabbed probably.

He's been an absolute revelation so far. Could be the best bit of business we have done in years. Hopefully we get some owners that can help Rafa build a team around him. Still feels surreal that we have a manager of his calibre.

Great post Harv. Not only tells how much of a cunt Mike Ashley is but also a bit of an insight into why Rafa Benitez is such a big figure amongst our fans. After snakes like Pardew and Carver, and then the totally inept McClaren to have a man who is achieving things on the pitch and totally "gets" the club is an amazing feeling. We are relegation candidates and have sold out at home and away every game so far. When we were 5th the other year we probably sold out at home once or twice. A bit of money spent on the team and everyone at the club singing from the same sheet and we will have waiting lists again. Ashley has nearly killed the club.

Probably the HMRC thing, or that he knows he can't take us any further and is sick of being a prick.
