  1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46188110 Wonder what he bet on. Joey Barton's betting history was revealed so intrigued as to what Sturridge stuck some money on - most shots from ridiculous angles?
  2. Fernando Torres has announced his retirment. For me he was special and one of my favourites. An absolute joy to watch. I also believe he was the best striker in the world for at least two years under Rafa. Has had a splendid career on club and International level.
  3. I think they can do it, this trophy has been a looooong time coming!
  4. Joe Gomez: Liverpool defender signs a new contract until summer of 2024 13 minutes ago | Liverpool Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has signed a new contract with the club until the summer of 2024. The 21-year-old joined the Reds from Charlton Athletic in 2015. He has played 18 times for Jurgen Klopp's side this campaign but could be out for up to six weeks after suffering a fractured leg in the 3-1 win over Burnley on 5 December. "I love the club, I love playing and learning here, and I am happy for that to continue," he told the club website. Gomez has won six England caps but was ruled out of Gareth Southgate's squad for the World Cup because of injury. "There have been a lot of highs and lows," he added. "It's my fourth season now and every one has been different. Obviously, I would like to have had a few less setbacks along the way, but it has all been part of my journey - one that I have loved and embraced. I have learned so much." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46507174
  5. In light of both @LFCMadLad and @Cannabis shivering away from their usual fishing selves and pretending they're not bothered about this weekend's fixture due to the fear of defeat, I thought I'd start this poll. What do you think is the most fierce modern day rivalry in the Premier League?
  6. Only cost £8m yet is an absolute beast in almost every game. Surely got to be considered one of the best?
  7. CaaC (John)

    Fabinho Linked With PSG

Brazil midfielder Fabinho could be set to leave Liverpool for Paris St-Germain just six months after moving to Anfield because he is "bored". (Le Parisien - in French) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/gossip
  8. Any Liverpool fans worried about Firminos lack of goals? I said it last year I think it’s still a problem for Liverpool that they don’t have that out and out striker, such as Kane or Aguero. How are his performances generally?
  9. Heartbreaking ....... Sean Cox: Liverpool v Roma attack victim's wife on impact of serious assault https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46328095 "Sean went to a match in April and he never came home, that's the reality of it." This is the stark truth Martina Cox is facing, after her husband Sean Cox was attacked before Liverpool's Champions League semi-final against Roma in April, outside Anfield. She says the attack lasted just 17 seconds. But that 17 seconds will have a lifetime effect on her 53-year-old husband, who now cannot talk, walk or sit up unaided.
  10. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2018/11/liverpool-overtake-barcelona-as-fortress-anfield-record-continues/ Obviously this is going to jinx us and we'll now lose our next home game but... We now have the longest unbeaten home record in Europe stretching back 27 games. We've also only conceded 10 goals in that time. That's some turnaround since Klopp took over.
  11. With 12 games of the Premier League season gone, the league is beginning to take shape and players are making their mark. But who has impressed you most?
  12. American newspaper New York Post has reported that principal owner John W Henry is privately inviting offers and would be willing to sell the Premier League club for a bid in excess of £1.53billion. @LFCMadLad @Dr. Gonzo @Rick @Mel81x @LFCMike @Burning Gold @IgnisExcubitor @UNORTHODOX @tarzanontoast @YNWA
  13. It can’t be said just yet but is he getting back to the form he showed at Liverpool a few years ago? He struggled in a West Brom side that was managed by Alan Pardew but I think most players would have struggled when managed by Pardew. He’s since returned to Liverpool and has started off in good form.
  14. No, this is not one our native forum voodoo threads... This is a genuine question and one I feel is for real. With Manchester City focusing primarily on the Champions League this season (believe me, that's what they're doing), could this finally be the year Liverpool lay ancient ghosts to rest? I believe this is their greatest chance yet even if Man City are on a different level to everyone in this league.
