The tournament was threatening to be shite until the last two matches. I still don't like the format. Add teams like Ireland, Zim, etc and make smaller groups and then Quarters, Semis and Final. That is hell more entertaining.

Great performance by Bangladesh and an unsurprising comeback from Pakistan, who truly are a weird side.

Steyn out of the World Cup, shame couldn't see him at the WC one last time

Big shame as he'd worked ridiculously hard to get back in to shape and try to be fit as well. Maybe the little stint at RCB in IPL, in hindsight, wasn't the best decision? But I guess he wanted some match practice.

He's a big miss because of his talent but SA have Rabada and Ngidi who can be the next fast bowling stars (if not already).

Ah gutted for Afghanistan. Thought they'd be good for the win with bit of confidence. Malinga too good for them at the death. Had Najibullah stayed in longer it might have been closer.

Is India winning right now? I see the 'score', but damn that makes no sense to me.

Not really winning at the moment because they haven't batted yet.

South Africa aren't in a great position though having lost 4 wickets after just 22 overs.

What's the max amount of wickets you can lose before you give up your right to bat?

11 players on a team but 10 wickets lost.

Or if you don't lose all your wickets, it's important to 'bat out' all your overs just to make the most of them, in this One-Day International format it's 50 overs.

So the score is 192/7?

At the moment, yep.

SA have about 4 more overs left to get the highest total they can without losing the rest of their 3 wickets.

And 192 is really low correct? So this is boding well for India?

Yep. They've upped the ante a bit though as they're now 224-8 in the final over. Equates to about 4.5 runs an over. So for India to win, they'd have to hit more than 4.5 runs an over and reach the total SA have set.

Most decent sides these days get towards 300-350 runs.

Having said that, weather conditions and pitch conditions play a big part even in one-day games.

In this day and age missing that with all the technology and stuff is unacceptable

Yeah I don't get why no-balls can't be called out if the on-field umpire misses it. There's so much technology for everything else and it's not like the cameras aren't in place to spot it. It happens for a wicket so why can't it happen for a normal ball in an over.
