Perfect time for Dhoni to come in. Watch him raise the required runrate from 6.9 to 11.

Pant falling for the most obvious of traps. Sheer inexperience. Don't blame him. He will learn from this.

xD Thought the same. Then he'll have a go at obliterating NZ in the later overs but get out.

Don't blame Pant for going for it either. He's the only one (and Pandya) to get runs and stop the NZ onslaught. Pant will be a great cricketer in future, you can tell. He's got the same aggression that Dhoni/Kohli had early on and over time it'll be tempered but hopefully won't lose the quality.

If that was it, then thank you Dhoni. He has been phenomenal in limited overs cricket.

Also, Sir Jaddu. An innings to remember.

We had a good campaign. We can be proud of that.

Congrats to New Zealand. I really hope they go on win it. They deserve it.

It's the hope that kills you xD

Jadeja & Dhoni had to go for it and as they edged closer the faint glimmers of hope that we could chase it down, against all odds having been 24-4, slowly became brighter. But not to be.

Well done NZ and good luck to them in the final. Defending that total is commendable especially with how they obliterated our top order. Boult in these overcast, cloudy conditions always spells trouble for opposition.

Still can't get over the Neesham catch and Guptill run-out throw. Superb bits of fielding.

Just now, Lucas said:

That's put the cat among the pigeons.

Fully expect to see England chuck in a collapse tomorrow after 2 solid wins.

Mitch Stark is our nemisis.

Starc is superb. If he sees what Boult did today then that'll give him some encouragement if it was ever needed.

As much as England are whiners when ever they lose in football or cricket i hope they win this world cup, it's about time they won a cricket world cup.

If Australia wins its six in twelve editions than even though it shows how much Australia are competitive at this level it won't be good for the game in general.

Happy to see New Zealand win it as well

Dhoni stayed in they would have done it.

Nope. He has lost his finishing abilities over the last year or so. If anything, him not hitting a boundary in those two overs before Jaddu got out, actually put the entire pressure on Jadeja.

Supporting England today. It would be nice to see a new country winning the World Cup instead of Australia. Also, England is a better team than Australia but I fancy the Kiwis against them instead of the Aussies. It almost feels like they have some kind of mental block against their neighbours. The sport also needs a lift in England.

On a side note, nice to see more and more English players admitting that IPL has helped them make better cricketers, in terms of improving their cricketing ability and ability to handle pressure.

Australia to bat first. Finch & Warner can't get out cheaply like in the last match. With England's batting to come, they have to set the tone for the innings.
