Would be good if this was on TV here. Haven't checked but I think last year's was only on because it was Boca vs River.

It won't be as easy as giving the usual shagging to the piggies of the Riachuelo, looking forward to it.

Copa Libertadores: BBC to air South American club final

The 60th Copa Libertadores final between Flamengo and River Plate at the Estadio Monumental in Lima, Peru will be aired on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer on Saturday, 23 November from 19:45 GMT.

Defending champions River Plate overcame fellow Argentines and fierce rivals Boca Juniors in the last four.

Brazilian side Flamengo boasts two of the tournament's top scorers in Gabriel Barbosa (7) and Bruno Henrique (5).

South America's top club competition began with 47 teams in January.

The winner of the Copa Libertadores final in Lima will qualify for the 2019 Fifa Club World Cup, alongside Champions League winners Liverpool, in Qatar.

Diego Alves, there's a name I've not seen in a while. He looked an unbelievable talent at Almeria. Flashes of brilliance punctuated by injuries and Valencia self imploding. Shame really.

River much better in the first half but kinda dirty. 18 fouls by them in 45 minutes.

Midfield is boys against men.

It's like watching a modern team vs a good team from 10 years ago. The strength in the challenge, the recovery time, the speed carrying the ball, the intensity of the pressing, the running off the ball, is all just so much better with River.

Flamengo have plenty of technique but their lack of intensity or physical presence means that everything needs to be executed so precisely it almost needs to be perfect.

And just as I was typing that, Flamengo finally thread a good ball through and Barbosa scores :D

River definitely better prepared specially mentally.

River sat on the advantage and Flamengo despite not playing ar their best have to much firepower upfront with Bruno Henrique, Arrascaeta and Gabigol.
