60 millions in the first post to 25 millions today... something doesnt sound right

Reinier had been linked with Los Blancos for some time, with reports suggesting his move would be confirmed soon after the player's 18th birthday on January 19.

This tactic was applied to the signings of both Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, wrapping deals up for the teenagers early so as to avoid paying astronomical sums later on.

In fact, the amount paid for Reinier represents something of a coup for Real Madrid, who were initially quoted a whopping €70m (£59.7m/$78.1m) for the teenager, but have now ended up paying half that fee.

Jeez, Real just hoarding young brasilians

More than that, Florentino seems to have a plan here. Real Madrid is acquiring lots of young talent. The post-Messi era could be similar to Barcelona what the post-Fergie era has been to United.

Reinier cost 30 million euros to Real Madrid.

I meant to ask why was his price dropped to below half suddenly... Is he not that good they initially thought?

Seen reports that he had a release fee of around €35 million

I think Famengo overestimated his potential

If you read the insert it will tell you why, if they had signed him up when he was 16 then they would have had to pay the full amount, but they agreed to take him aboard when he was 15 but if they signed him up when he turned 16 then they would only pay half the amount and Flamengo agreed, if they had said no to Real's offer then Real would have said "Fuck you, go and try to flog a 15-year-old somewhere else then for £60 mill", would you pay £60 mill for a 15-year-old kid?
