Eco 2,116 Posted February 24, 2020 Quote Inter-Ludogorets to be behind closed doors It is now all but certain that the Europa League game between Inter and Ludogorets will be played behind closed doors on Thursday due to the Coronavirus scare. The highly-contagious illness is spreading rapidly throughout northern Italy, with three deaths reported and over 200 cases diagnosed. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte confirmed he could shut down all this weekend’s Serie A games – a decision is set to be made today – and several regions including Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Liguria, Friuli and Emilia-Romagna ordered suspension of all large public events including sports until midnight on March 1. While there are discussions over the potential rescheduling of some fixtures, that is simply not possible with the Europa League, as there is no time to rearrange. The only realistic option is to play behind closed doors at San Siro on Thursday evening and that is what the Mayor of Milan is expected to announce later today. Ludogorets released a statement demanding clarification on the situation, particularly for the 600 fans who had already purchased tickets and arranged travel. Inter won the first leg of this Round of 32 tie, 2-0 in Bulgaria.

Eco 2,116 Posted February 26, 2020 Rangers just missed an incredible opportunity to score that away goal, but the shot is straight at the keeper.
ScoRoss 475 Posted February 26, 2020 Ryan Kent could have had this game over already with his two chances.

Eco 2,116 Posted February 26, 2020 Finally Rangers finish off a good chance, and what a great finish. Braga needs 2 goals to advance now.
ScoRoss 475 Posted February 26, 2020 Huge goal for Rangers. And with how open Braga have been so far, you'd fancy them to get another.
Stan 10,365 Posted February 26, 2020 Goldson has had a great game. Been everywhere at the back for Rangers cutting everything out and tackling/blocking well.

The Artful Dodger 1,717 Posted February 26, 2020 Impressive win that. Interestingly Scotland could get back 2 CL play-off places now.

As it stands, from 2021-22, Scotland will have two teams enter the Champions League qualifying rounds. But it's a double edged sword, as it'll mean less qualifying rounds played (and the loss of points from them) and an additional team in Europe overall (adding another will almost certainly bring down the nation's average coefficient). Michael 518 Posted February 27, 2020 There are many interesting Europa League fixtures to look forward to today. I think that the Europa League has been as exciting as ever this season. There are plenty of quality and exciting sides left in the competition.

Both playing sides with slender leads from their home legs and definitely with capability to turn things around. Maybe even Gent vs Roma too. I expect Celtic, Sevilla and Man Utd to get through after getting away goals and draw in first legs. Ajax you'd think need an early goal to get back in to the tie against Getafe. ScoRoss 475 Posted February 27, 2020 Also, if this season couldn't get worse for Man United fans, what are the chance they have to take on Steven Gerrard in the next round...

Yeah, there are plenty of exciting matches coming up this evening. I think the Porto v Leverkusen match should be very entertaining, as both sides love to attack. But Leverkusen have been dealt a big blow with the news that Kevin Volland will be out injured for the rest of the season.

Lucky for Frankfurt I'd say. Gives them a bit of a rest for Sunday's match. They looked tired in their last game.
