Salzburg look a bit toothless for what I've seen so far. They don't get forward often but when they do they seem to waste it. Silva's goal was decent. Salzburg started the match the stronger, scoring and then creating several chances. But after that both sides exchanged attacks, with Frankfurt having the much more dangerous attacks. Silva scored a super eqaulising header after a great run and cross by Kostic on the left flank. The second half promises more goals as Salzburg look to somehow get back into this tie. Salzburg started very well in the first 15 minutes. They scored, they forced Trapp into a top class save from Koita's header and they also had a shot blocked near the goal line. It was two Frankfurt forwards against one Salzburg defender, but Kostic's cross to the far post couldn't be turned into the goal by sliding in Andre Silva, as his shot instead went wide for a goal kick. Yes, that was a good towering header into the corner of the net by Onguene, from a great corner by the Hungarian Szoboszlai. Just 2 more goals needed by Salzburg to level on aggregate. Frankfurt will now play Basel in the Round of 16 in the Europa League. Hutter will be happy that he has led Frankfurt to a convincing overall victory against his former club Salzburg. Hutter spent 7 years as a player at Salzburg, so he is bound to be happy with this victory.
