Hi Tommy - nice of you to remember that you only have two recent tragedies to Bounce back from.  After 17 Jan against Gladbach it has been BL hades in Gelsenkirchen and they seem to be somewhat content with that!  You should get a point this weekend at least - we will have to watch Hoffenheim recover from their battering against the Munchkins and take it out on us!

Cordoba and Bornauw are two key players missing for Koln in this evenings clash against Paderborn. They join several other Koln players who are out. Despite this, Koln should still be too good for Paderborn. Anthony Modeste replaces Cordoba and Jorge Mere replaces Bornauw, not bad replacements there for Koln.

Goal Paderborn!! Dennis Srbeny with a near post headed goal from a lovely cross. The ex-Norwich City player has gotten Paderborn right back into this game. With 15 minutes left, there is plenty of time for Paderborn to find the equaliser.

Paderborn 1-2 Koln

It's all over, it's another loss for Paderborn and they stay bottom of the Bundesliga. Paderborn look very likely to get relegated now.

Koln increase their points tally and they are still in with a chance of making the Europa League for next season.

Final score: Paderborn 1-2 FC Koln

Summary of 45 minutes from Veltins - New Captain today - hardly an inspiring move from DW and in 45 minutes one shot into Row X otherwise useless (Captain Burgstaller).

Midfielder Scopf has not passed one ball forward so far.  Little McKennie took his one chance well (about time) to score.  Johnny Kenny has been tireless and the most dangerous man on the fild and we will not be able to keep him after May.  Oczipka keeps taking dead ball kicks and hitting the first defender every time.  Nastasic has twice sent the ball forward and about 20 times sideways or backwards - sadly Harit sits it out so 1-0 shows really how poor Hoffenheim has been.  Wonder how long DW will let the 'Captain' stay on the field!  So far he has produced zilch!  Will moan a bit more at full time - meanwhile keep up the good word nudge!
