National League Ask for £17m Rescue Deal

On Tuesday, the National League sent out cashflow forecasting forms to all 68 clubs, to find out how much money they would need to keep going, to come up with a total figure they could take to the FA. Early suggestions are that the total figure will, in fact, be close to the initial £16.9 million figure.

For Clasper, that sum of money would keep all 68 National League clubs going until the summer. And it would not be money just thrown away. The Treasury would get one third of it back in tax, and more could be paid back once next season’s commercial and season ticket revenues came in.

Real problem is the civil service don't have the time to verify this figure makes sense and that it can be repaid.

There are 9 games left. £17m for 68 clubs assumes each club is losing out on £250k from the last 9 games and needs all of that money NOW.
