Valkyrie (2008)
Dir: Bryan Singer

"After being wounded in World War II, a disillusioned Nazi colonel hatches a daring plan to create a shadow government and assassinate Adolf Hitler"

The trailer for those who haven't seen it is below.

And... great news is that it looks like it is on Netflix! https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/70101344

I'm blown away by the response so far.

Never watched this but I see potential judging by the trailer. I do find Tom Cruise a bit cheesy in some of the films he's been in but I'll give this a shot and post later.

Collateral was Tom Cruise's best role by far. John Wick ain't got shit on Tom's character in this movie. :P

Good movie.

Pity, Tom didn't listen to The Red Woman despite being close to her. She could have provided a better plan which could have actually worked.

I enjoyed this one. But I think one problem with any Tom Cruise movie is rather than see him as whatever character he is playing... I just see him as Tom Cruise. That's more my fault than his, but whatever.

I ask all of those who haven't watched it to give it a try. I'm just watching the ending scene again, and it was so good. Great cast all around too.

It's just that it's Tom Cruise and a Nazi related movie; I'm pretty sick of both... Could have watched it today as finally had a day off but just couldn't make myself do it :(

Should have posted a list of plot based porn movies instead. I bet it would have been more popular.

I watched this when it was released with a lot of hype, and it was kind of bland. Nothing particularly bad about it nor great either, never really wanted to watch it again.

As a huge John Wick fan I begrudgingly agree. I loved Collateral.

I keep forgetting about this thing Ill catch up on one of your guy's movies one of these days. I havent seen Vakyrie since a year or two after it came out but I do remember not being impressed, just another movie I moved on and forgot about. I would have rewatched it for you though Tommy boy :P

It's a decent enough movie. It looks great and is well acted, but it's unspectacular and restricted by the disappointing mediocrity of the historical event it's tied to.
