I saw an article about how Shaq, a fan of Northampton, will have his cutout placed in the stands during the playoff match. xD

Haha yes he is linked with the owner and has previously mentioned his 'support' for them.

I enjoy having matches against Cheltenham so it would be nice to have them stay in the league. I'm conflicted about Colchester because Harry Pell plays for them and he's definitely up there on the list of players I'd punch given a chance. Exeter and Northampton I have no real feelings for either way..

For me, I really hope Exeter do it.

Firstly, they finished the highest points wise out of the four before PPG.

Secondly, this is the third time in the last four seasons they have made the playoffs, so they are always consistently up there despite losing some great talent season upon season.

Thirdly, they have in recent history lost two successive Wembley finals to Blackpool and Coventry in 2017 and 2018, which is incredibly hard to take.

Fourth of all, where Exeter are based, that area of the country really needs success from a football perspective. Especially when you think how big Devon is.

It was good to see Plymouth go up and it would be nice to also see Exeter compete with them in the same league.

35 minutes in and it's been a rather boring match so far.

Crowd is absolute shit at this level

But harsh, there's more there than at the Etihad yesterday.

Penalty Northampton!

Ryan Watson's penalty is saved! Very well saved and held, too.

Exeter in the final after a win over Colchester in extra-time today.

Northampton currently 1-0 up at Cheltenham. Still losing on aggregate 2-1.

Hopefully Cheltenham hold on.

Gutted.

Northampton turned it around.

Exeter vs Northampton in the final! More familiar as a rugby fixture no doubt xD

Shite. Hoping Exeter win the final but have a feeling they'll bottle it again.

How many chances are Northampton going to have!? Hope they don't rue all of these. Stead keeping Exeter in the game otherwise it's about 5-0.

Red card for Moxey. Looked to be very retaliatory to an elbow from McCormack on another Exeter player.

Moxey comes in from the side about ankle height.

3-0! Hoskins finishes the game off and Northampton look set to be going to League One!

3rd time in 4 seasons Exeter have lost in the play-offs.

Didn’t even realise this was on. Got to be the worst way to be promoted this year.
