For us it's always been "azucar":
Eco
I live near Cumming, Georgia, which is actually a really nice area, but still, imagine being on the phone and giving someone your address and saying "I live in Cumming, that is spelled C-U-M-M-I-N-G"

Or Dacula being pronounced nothing like Dracula.

Bluebird Hewitt
While not a town name, I remember going to Las Vegas a few years back and on the way, I saw a sign for a turning and thought that they're making road names up now.

Can't find a photo for Unterfucking but the name Fucking is common in Austria and means "a place of" so I believe, and Ober means over and Unter means under so I gather it means one town or places with either both meanings but different locations? Fucking (/ˈfʌkɪŋ/ German: [ˈfʊkɪŋ] (listen)) is an Austrian village in the municipality of Tarsdorf, located in the Innviertel region of western Upper Austria. The village is 33 kilometres (21 mi) north of Salzburg and is 4 km (2.5 mi) east of the Inn river, which forms part of the German border.
