See Puel is having a good time with his team xD him and Debuchy kicking off at each other. I swear every player hates him.

I hope this doesn't mean BT Sport don't have the rights any more...

No, that's in France only.

OM v ASSE postponed :(

PSG and OL's matches have also been postponed because they're still in the CL, so there will only be 7 matches on the opening weekend of the season.

The first match of the season will now be Bordeaux v Nantes at 4pm UK time on Saturday.

Yeah it was harsh.

A 0-0 to start the season then, not the most exciting opening match ever. Nantes played the majority of the match against 10 men and really should've gone for it more, but they never really took advantage of the extra man and Gourcuff waited far too long to make changes.

Let's hope tomorrow's matches will be more entertaining.

Dijon 0-1 Angers at half time in the first of two matches today.

Two consecutive backheels in the lead up to the goal...

Literally just turned on the TV after being out all day and see Sasha Boey almost karate kicks someone and then knock himself out on the landing. It was a very heavy fall and the ref showed the red card as he was knocked out on the floor. I doubt Boey knows he's been sent off xD

Can have no complaints though.

Yeah, ridiculous challenge but I was more worried about his landing than the boot to the head. Looked horrible. Glad he's conscious again.

Definitely. Landing flat on your face from about 5 foot really isn't great.

Another red card! Reinildo off for Lille! He got the ball but perhaps a scissor motion? Renne's player looks to get his leg caught underneath Reinildo which makes it look very bad.

Rennes get an equaliser! Camavinga flicks on at near post and Da Silva taps in.

Camavinga is going to be some talent. Only 17 and plays with ridiculous amounts of confidence. Rennes have a potentially superb player on their hands.

He's showing Renato Sanches up. Making him look like an amateur.

Camavinga is ridiculously good. I'm so glad he's staying at Rennes for the time being.

Monaco 2-0 down at home against Reims after 20 minutes in Niko Kovac's first match as Monaco boss.

Disasi against his old club, close range header to make Monaco pressure count. Funnily enough half time came at the wrong time for Monaco.

What a goal from Badiashile! Insane touch to bring it down and then quickly adjust to tap in. 2-2!

The quality of defending in the Lorient Strasbourg match is pitiful.

You can tell how rusty players are as well. So many fouls and late tackles. Not necessarily malicious, but late challenges injuring players.

It’s the basics that are the most embarrassing, players getting the ball caught between their feet needlessly leaving space in behind one on one. It’s not just being rusty, it’s the dearth of quality once again on show in Ligue 1.

Good start to the season and Nice career for Gouiri. 2 goals on debut. Second was very nice just now.
