You're aware the UK is north of Germany? Thought you said you've been in Dortmund, which is considerably north of Bavaria?

Stationed in Dortmund but been to a lot of places I can't remember when on a Regimental 2/3 week exercises across Germany, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt if I remember right? :ay:

Some odd competition in this thread, and it’s worth pointing out we aren’t all from wealthy families...

Yeah, seems weird to make it a competition. It shouldn't be easy to forget that traveling for leisure (my eastern most destination was for work - and fuck traveling for work, it's always more of a pain in the arse than any fun it might be) is absolutely a luxury... and not everyone has the money or opportunity to travel regularly, and they shouldn't be judged negatively for that.

If we are following timezones in relation to Greenwhich it'd be

North - Montreal

South - Canberra

West - LA on a technicallity but it'd really be Chicago.

East - Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast, I don't know which one actually stretches a bit more eastwards.

North - some village on the Black Isle, north of Inverness, Scotland

West - Orlando, USA

East - Kutaisi, Turkey

South - Orlando, USA (I did think this was going to be Gibraltar, but it turns out that longitudinally Orlando is a lot closer to the equator)

That’s what I was thinking.

North: Lake Lomond, Scotland

South: Te Anau, NZ

West: Hawaii, Backwards country

East: Akaroa,  NZ

Interesting topic. I’ll have to think and have a look...

Agree with this. LA and Beijing for me was simply because my family lived out there, with Hong Kong as a trip when out in Beijing. I doubt I would have gone otherwise.

Most definitely!

What did you think of Morocco?

I was only 8 years old or so, but from what I remember, it wasn't that great. Shop owners pestered you to come into their stores, and then got angry if you left without buying anything. The traffic was a state, the city smelt of fish most of the time, because they had a huge fish factory there, and a lot of beggars all over the city.

I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it a bit more now, from the cultural point of view, but I don't have the best memories of the place. 😅

I thought this was @MUFC digging up an old thread at first xD

I think this will be about right, my map brain location points are a bit foggy nowadays. 🤓

North - Wick, Caithness, Scotland
South - Australia*
East - Australia*
West - Belfast, Northern Island

Edit: *Corrections order by her highness @nudge

Surely Australia would be both your southernmost AND easternmost place visited?
