Turn those in 10 rupee notes and we have a winner.

People with 10 rupee notes dont buy 15K guitars and 800$ Casio G-Shock rangemans on a whim, without batting an eyelid..

Hell, $ 800 is what I make in 4 months.

For a second I thought that was in Bangalore then I remembered that it was NLS down here. That's pretty low I'd say for a stipend but I suppose the benefits rack up once you're out of school and in the real world.

Semester's over and I managed to find this badboy in the library:

"Buying Time: The delayed crisis of democratic capitalism". Literally it's "Bought Time" but that doesn't match the English expression.

The author came to do a lecture at the law school at Glasgow Uni in the summer and I've been meaning to read one of his books ever since. Also been wanting to keep my German fresh, so I was very glad to find the original edition in the library.

I'm hoping I can get a few books read before Christmas.

Image result for and the weak suffer what they must

Just finished this. I liked the fairly straightforward way of explaining a lot of the economic developments between the EU and America, and the EU and the southern states, but overall the tone was a bit dull and self-righteous. For a layman like me it was worth the effort of persisting with and reading through, but not the most captivating read.

Image result for walter eucken the foundations of economics

Next up I've got this on loan from the library. I wrote my honours dissertation partly on Walter Eucken's legal thought, so I thought it would interesting to read his major economic work.
