The Faroese substitute Edmundsson scored with a route one goal after just coming on for Bielefeld. Ortega the keeper punted the ball upfield and Edmundsson collected the ball and finished from a tight angle past Timo Horn, as he beat him at the near post.

What a result, that was a masterpiece from Augsburg. Held on in the first half, long enough to clearly frustrate Dortmund. Collapsing defense, only 1 or 2 real clear chances for Dortmund, and Augsburg could of had 2-3 more goals.

Bravo Augsburg....bloody brilliant performance!

GET IN!

Cagiuri scores and Augsburg are up 2-0!!!

A 2-0 loss by Dortmund to Augsburg is a big blow for them early on in the season. You can't take anything away from Augsburg for earning a memorable 3 points. But Dortmund I think are partly paying the price for starting two 17 year olds again. At that age, you can't necessarily expect consistent performances from players that young.

Wow, well done Augsburg. It's frustrating to see that one of the very few clubs that could theoretically challenge Bayern bottle it again early in the season.

Don't worry, we will get Bayern too and even it up.

Augsburg going for the title. xD

No Osako in our starting XI! :o Mbom starts! :o

Pavlenka - Gebre Selassie, Veljkovic, Friedl, Augustinsson - Mbom, Eggestein, Klaassen, Bittencourt - Sargent, Füllkrug.

Well Wagner will be sweating throughout this game, so it should be an interesting encounter. Apparently his Schalke side have to win this match or he gets the sack, so you can expect Schalke to attack in search of the 3 points for a lot of this game. That should leave spaces at the back which Werder will look to exploit. Both sides have had poor starts to the season, but I'd definitely say that there is a lot more pressure on Schalke in this match.

Sargent should have done better there 😬

Yes, he should have done better with his chance in front of goal, but Werder have done a very good job in pressing Schalke early on here. They are forcing Schalke into playing misplaced passes.
