Michael 599 Posted October 10, 2020 Germany finish the match as deserved 2-1 winners over Ukraine. But this Ukrainian team put up a decent fight despite being depleted by injuries as 15 regulars were not included in the squad due to either injuries or testing positive for Covid-19. The Käiser 64 Posted October 11, 2020 Wonder if Draxler starts again against Swiss. I found him and Kroos to be ones who affords loose passes that breakdown attack and/or put defence under pressure. is it just me or is Kroos underwhelming for some time now? why havertz/Werner given such small time today is strange. good performance, ran into a good goalkeeping show and some poor finishing. I thought Draxler did quite well in spells during the game, but I completely agree with you on Kroos. He was very underwhelming and in fact I think that the Ukrainians kept trying to close him down in order to capitalise on his slow distribution of the ball. Germany definitely have better options for midfield than Kroos these days. The Ukrainian 4th choice keeper Buschan actually had a good came. He seemed to do the hard bits well, making several incredible saves, but at the same time it was his comical error from a routine cross that lead to Germany's 2nd goal. He definitely seems to have a lot of potential, but he still has a long way to go in order to compete with the likes of Pyatov and Lunin.

binder 36 Posted October 13, 2020 No need for the Germans to throw this game away in the 90th minute, they can do it a lot earlier now. They may even come back from 2-0 down after 26mins, but this is probably the weakest German team ever, weaker than the team of the early 2000s.
binder 36 Posted October 13, 2020 and they get one back 2-1. Werner scored, but the truth is he is not good enough to be a starting forward for a German national team of any era.

binder 36 Posted October 13, 2020 lol, Spain lost to Ukrania, so this German team that can not put 3 passes together, still have a real chance to win the group.
Devil-Dick Willie 1,981 Posted October 13, 2020 "Treason is criminal disloyalty, typically to the state. It is a crime that covers some of the more extreme acts against one's nation or sovereign. This usually includes things such as participating in a war against one's native country, attempting to overthrow its government, spying on its military, its diplomats, or its secret services for a hostile and foreign power, or attempting to kill its head of state. A person who commits treason is known in law as a traitor." Get him up against a wall

Teams like Liverpool can afford run and gun but their defensive line is waaay better. If they win today could’ve been in the drivers seat. (dunno if I want them to win the group, only to get humbled by one of the other group winners? ) now two tough games against Ukraine and Spain. There’s still a chance to get relegated if they lose those too I don’t know what is wrong defensively with this team. set pieces are also an issue defensively and offensively. Löw‘s tactics or training isn’t getting through. Time for change. but how long will fans have to keep demanding. Probably until after the euro. I noticed Kroos again giving balls away. Thinking he needs a different role. (As a sub) he doesn’t even seem to be a character player/leader, just goes through the motions without any passion. Kimmich is totally different in that regard. I think a replacement for Kroos is needed now that last minute goal in added injury time against Spain playing a big part in the standings. spain would’ve had 2 losses now and Germany would have 2 more points. The Käiser 64 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) What a performance is in store for Germany the euros with Portugal and France in the same group! It will worse than 2018 World Cup exit the team needs a coach like Conte that brings passion and demands it from the players. Italy over achieved in euro 2016 with him at the helm. Italy has regrouped from their 2018 debacle much better and quicker than Germany has. Oh right they changed their coach! Michael 599 Posted October 14, 2020 Germany's draw against Switzerland further underlines that they have great firepower going forward, but that they do have some issues in defence that they need to iron out. Switzerland are a very respectable national team and no pushovers, but Germany really should be beating them on home soil. Ukraine's injury hit team stunned Spain with a 1-0 win in Kyiv. Viktor Tsigankov scored the winning goal, to add to his superb solo goal that he scored against France a week ago. Tsigankov is one of the players who has really staked a claim for a starting spot in this Ukrainian national team in the future, with some impressive recent performances for his country. Ukraine, Germany and Spain are all battling it out to win Group A4, while Switzerland are now out of the reckoning.
