Such a tough group for Krasnador to begin with, but would love to see them get a result today against Sevilla.

Strong lineup from us. Looks like Lampard can’t be fucked with either Emerson or Alonso anymore.

1-0 Werner

Glad Werner is on penalties. Not a fan of Jorginho's style, although is effective.

Kidding. The foul was outside the box.

Wouldn't be so bad if we were 2-0 up in games because if he misses it's no big deal but prefer when we need a goal to have someone that can just smash them home with no messing about..

We need to step it up... can't keep allowing Rennes to boss this the way they are..

Possibly another penalty for Chelsea.

Not sure it should be awarded as I thought the ruling was if it comes off a part of your body and ricochets in to you it's not a handball?

Wow that is harsh for Dalbert. 2nd booking for it. Very harsh for Rennes.

Sevilla get 1 back and are looking to get another one soon.

Krasnador lead 2-1

Not sure what the deal with Jorginho is. His stats on progressive forward passes have decreased season by season since Sarri.

Sideways merchant now.

Jesus Navas sent off as last man and fouled Olsson. Gets worse for Sevilla...

Red Card for Sevilla!

Krasnador was on a breakaway and Navas's fouled resulting in a straight red.

Halftime in Spain.

Krasnador are up 2-1 in goals, and up a man as Navas got sent off.

Such a sloppy half for Sevilla defensively, but before the red card, they were all over the Krasnador goal and looking to score their second.

still not sure the Russian will hold onto the lead, but this is the best chance their will get.

A team is going to have to walk off the pitch some time very soon. This handball situation is just disgraceful - they've done it to increase the number of goals, people who have absolutely no feel for the game, the beauty of football is it's hard to score, it's why goals are so special.

What a farce it's descended into.

How exactly is it disgraceful? Even 10 years ago before all the rule changing, you are always at risk if your arms are in an unnatural position. IE completely away from your body and above your head.

The yellow card was ridiculous but let's not pretend the defender's arms were naturally placed.

They were infront of his own face. It's bounced up of another player's leg. What exactly is he supposed to do?

When you go to block a shot, you put your arms up to an extent to give you that balance. The fact it's ricocheted on to him and the ref still deems it an infringement enough to give a penalty is the disgraceful part I guess.

It is weird how there's a rule for handball in one competition and different interpretation in another competition. That in itself is partly disgraceful too. Can't think of another sport where rules change depending on competition :what:
