Massive game on Wednesday, west London derby and a chance to bounce back after our loss to Barnsley. Thomas Frank's message was a calm and clear one, the players, coaching staff, board and fans need to get over the loss to Barnsley and look forward to this fixture. The lads now have a chance to respond in a big game.

I love Frank, his mindset is entirely based around setting difficult but achievable targets and meeting them, challenging himself, the players, people around him. He was such a great appointment as Dean Smith's co-assist, completely busy into the ethos of the club. Came in for criticism last season from opposition fans for comments regarding whether they're up to the task etc, but he is exactly the type of coach you want. He views Football through the prism of challenging people to achieve goals and if you fail then you can go again and learn from what went wrong.

Hopefully on Wednesday night we learn from what went wrong against Barnsley, put it behind us and set up the foundations for another run of good results.

Referee pretty much squared up to an Ipswich player tonight:

Not massively dramatic but very rarely, if ever, see that in the game.

It's almost like for a couple seconds he lost his train of thought before quickly coming to his senses.

It's nice to see a Referee stand up for himself for a change.

Yeah with the amount of abuse they get, I'm surprised some haven't already lost it. Massive balls of steel to become a ref at any level, for sure.

He's publically apologised.

What I find odd about all this is a referee can be made to apologise for something like that and yet can make terrible decisions, sometimes back to back (Hello Mike Dean) and they get away without saying a peep for their fuck ups.

It's wrong.

We've just been shit, game over. A lot of reasons as to why, we are clearly knackered at the moment and struggling for peak fitness. Pinnock rested in the last game, 4 players rested today plus an injury. We are struggling and have well and truly fallen into a rut. It is all about Marcondes and Norgaard returning from injury imo, Jansson too. But the midfielders more so, we need more options in midfield, greater options to be more tactically flexible.
