Hmmm I’m not sure I trust Steve Bruce to actually put up a fight against United (Manchester United, not Newcastle United xD)

If anyone knows how to beat them it's got to be Manchester United's #1 fan who spent the pre-match press conference talking about what Man Utd need to achieve and referring to them as "us". As he says, Man Utd need to win trophies, Newcastle just need to wait and see how many points we get.

He even said the other day we always knew Chelsea and Man Utd would be tough. We haven't even played Man Utd yet and he's already talking about the defeat.

How long is Wilson out for?

Think he'll be the difference between Newcastle staying up or being relegated now.

6-8 weeks.

Gayle was brought in and played on the right instead of central striker, putting crosses in the box ha. We are all waiting to see what Bruce tries next.

The next 5 games will decide what type of finish it's going to be because of fixtures.

We currently have a 3 point gap. We have this game, then Wolves (h), West Brom (a), Villa (h), Brighton (a) whilst Fulham have Palace (a), Spurs (h), Liverpool (a), Man City (h).

We need to coming out of that with 8 points and a good gap, ideally 10 point gap because after that we have shite fixtures and Burnley until the last 2 games of the season. Last game of the season is away to Fulham.

Spanish football is dog shit these days though  Real Sociedad teamsheet looks like a Man Utd side built by Moyes.

Checks commentators notes... recent Premier League form

West Brom 1 Man Utd 1

Man Utd 3 Everton 3

Man Utd 1 Sheffield United 2

If we can't have half a crack here we'll have failed.

We tend to struggle against small clubs though and Newcastle are Massive apparently

Absolutely. No one knows that problem better than your lot. I've lost count of the amount of league titles you've lost because of everyone apparently raising their game when Manchester United are in town.

Wife batterer Nicky Butt going to be in the dugout with Ole today.

I’m surprised they’ve chosen to keep him on at Manchester United. Kind of hard to stand by anyone after something like that.

Feel like Newcastle just need to have a bit more creativity about them when they get in Man Utd's final third. Got in to some decent positions but they've not properly been able to test De Gea apart from that early deflected half-volley which De Gea tipped over.

They're stopping Man Utd in their own half but difficult to see where the goal will come from them. Maybe it's because Joelinton is on the pitch...

Maguire assist. Happy it's going well for him now.
