After the way he was rather disgracefully treated by Ipswich fans I'm very happy for Mick McCarthy. He's inherited some good Warnock-esque leaders there and got that whole team really playing for him. I forgot Murphy still played for Cardiff until the other week.

Murphy appears to be the type of player who needs an arm round the shoulder to get the best out of him. He did alright under Warnock, but didn't do much under Harris and barely played. He seems to have got going more under McCarthy.

EDIT: Funnily enough.

Huddersfield had a youngster come on in the 75th minute, get booked in the 77th and then sent off 10 minutes later...

We did!! Still not out of the relegation zone but this is a massive 3 points for us. Not dead bottom of the league either now.

It's going to be Norwich plus two others isn't it.

Consistantly the best side in this division. Can't see anyone finishing above them.

Yeah, whenever I've seen them on the highlight shows Buendia and Pukki have been brilliant in recent weeks. The former would be a key player in most Premier League clubs.

Yeah they’re head and shoulders above everyone, just look at the caliber of players they can call on

Good result tonight, squad has been under the cosh and we went 3 defeats in a row. Sheffield Wednesday aren't good at all, but we have conceded a goal in each of our last 8 games. Clean sheet tonight and Reid and Pinnock looked so good together, Reid heading so many balls away that Mads Bech struggled to.

Weirdly we won 3-0 yet Mbeumo and Canos had poor nights. Toney and Dasilva played too which was encouraging.

@Dr. Gonzo he's a bit of a love hate figure amongst the fanbase, can be wasteful or will make an error, but he plays so deep at the moment as we're low on midfielders. It's just not his position, he fluffed a real obvious chance for a goal prior to scoring and it looked like that might have been the highlight of his game. But the goal was a lovely finish, an example of what he can. The more chances he gets to run in behind, the more he'll score I think

If Barnsley can make the playoffs then Valerin Ismael should be on for manager of the year award.

The 5 sub rule has really suited Barnsley this season, intense pressing and sub forwards in and out of the game like mad

Woodgate won't be at Bournemouth long, you can just tell. Acting as a simple stop gap till the summer.

You actually begin to wonder why they even bothered, Tindell may have well have stayed.

Whoever has been responsible behind the scenes for that decision should be replaced along with Woodgate.

Yep.

Mind you, we're talking about the same people that splashed out money like there's no tomorrow on the likes of Jordan Ibe, Adam Smith etc.

No sense whatsoever.

Superb win for us. Following Pack's fuck up that lead to Bournemouth's goal, they pushed and pushed but our defence and the sexiness of Phillips held firm.

Up to 6th (albeit on goals scored) after 6 wins on the bounce. We were about 13 points off the play offs when McCarthy came in. 8 games later and we're fighting for the play offs.

There's only 11 points between us and Brentford in second. Piece of piss at this point.
