Just under 10 weeks until I become a father. So excited with a tinge of shitting myself. The wife and I have spent the last couple of weeks converting our spare bedroom into a nursery, making everything a mix of pink, white and animal print. Can't wait to be posting at 03:00 about how my daughter won't settle and how I want to throw myself out of the top floor window but that's the fun of parenting, right?

I'll be in this thread heavily, so going to make myself comfy.

Like father, like daughter!

I think it's been the lack of that interaction she has missed, she is three and seriously growing fast.

Yeah I have a 2 and 5 year old and my hatred of the lockdown was more for my kids than myself.

The final kindergarten (preschool) year was 50% remote learning which is not entirely possible when the learning is socialisation and group play.

And the 2 year old has known lockdown half her life, and I think gets a lot more scared of strangers than I reckon would be the case in a precovid world.

Congrats @Toinho and best of luck.

Still find it difficult at times to imagine certain posters with babies, you don't see people grow and change on an internet forum like in the real world.

Can you actually imagine, somewhere in this big wide world, Scout is probably a mother now xD

Thanks mate. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been a member of this core group/forum since 2004... madness

Still not a legend though hahaha

Congrats but please change the club badge.

The little ones are 2 weeks old today. Even though I basically don’t sleep...everyday is new and (usually) amazing.

Take it all in mate. My first is 3 years old already. They grow up so fast.

She's 7, needless to say the TV was quickly removed and has only been returned the evening before last.

That's our daughter's reaction with wee Kaiden (now 7), misbehave and then she will act, no tv etc but he loves staying for a sleepover around here as we, as grandparents, are a bit more lenient but really he is good as gold and will do as he is told, one thing he does love is the wife has to read him a bedtime story before he goes to sleep.

It's funny really as the daughter said when he misbehaves and gets told off he will always say "I am going around granny & granddads to stay..." then will walk away into his bedroom in a huff. xD

My daughters the same, my mum and dad and all the teachers thinks she's an angle but once she crosses my doorstep demon mode gets switched on and she loves nothing more than to make my life hard.

I'm actually having nightmares about the teenage years 😂
