Do Sadletico have the funds to buy the players who are necessary for a transition to a more attractive style of football?

Probably missed the irony but it's not about the players.

Fascinating how Tuchel has turned this side around..

Clearly his overall experience is one of the main factors but it seems more than that,  His individual management of players seems to be working a treat. No matter what team he puts out they seem to be gelling well from front to back.. very solid performance again tonight and deserved to go through. So many players playing with confidence now and enjoying their football..

Just doing some basic things like rotating has helped. Lampard ran a lot of the players into the ground, no exaggeration in saying that Lampard would have been playing the likes of Werner, Chilwell, Mount in consecutive games with no rest. He's galvanized the squad by making everyone feel involved again, he's added freshness by getting players who were completely out of favour playing again and by using different shapes and personnel.

We still lack creativity and are struggling in attack which is something he still needs to sort out.

Simeone earns more than 40 million euros per year. He must deliver more.

I mean, he's done an incredible job to rescue Atlético and lead them to be a La Liga and european force, but over the last few years it seems that the club has stagnated.

Part of the problem is that he recently isn't getting the best out of their major signings in offensive positions. The likes of Lemar, Morata, Diego Costa and João Felix come to mind.

It's not like he doesn't know how to coach forwards or take them to stardom, Simeone did just that with Griezmann and Diego Costa (1st Atleti stint), it's just that he is struggling to do that at the moment. Maybe bring an assistant coach with fresh ideas?

GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL. Ziyech scores after a lovely assist by Timo Werner. Kai Havertz involved too. :German:

Ziyech, Werner and Havertz all seem to be finally acclimatising to the Chelsea team. Tuchel's arrival seems to have helped them all along.

We’ve seen today that Atlético can press high as well as anyone. Couple with that with the right lineup, and Atlético easily could be one of the most dangerous attacking sides in Europe.

The below, for example, is an extremely technically gifted  midfield and attack:

         Suarez

Correa-Felix-Lemar

      Saul-Koke

Polar opposite to a certain someone

Simeone scoffs when asked on Spanish TV whether it was penalty by Azpi on Carrasco. "No, we are not looking for excuses. We were beaten by a better team."

Who is it the opposite to?
