What actually is this lineup. Unless this is what they usually play, it doesn't seem like they took Georgia too seriously.

That’s a sight for sore eyes when you compare that to their golden generation.

Especially with Llorente at centre back. I mean what the hell, the bloke was 4th choice striker in the golden generation.

And the subs they had that came on to save the day, Olmo, Thiago, Oyarzabal. Good players in their own right, but nothing on what they used to have.

Didn't realize they'd become so shit on paper.

I’ve watched what felt like one of the greatest individual international teams in Brazil during the 2000s and then what was the greatest international team as a whole unit full stop in Spain. It’s difficult to get up for international football these days

I had the same thought, it feels like there is less "golden generations" these days, and the best players come from a whole array of different countries but that's about it.

Salah at Egypt, Davies with Canada, etc.

I think England, France and Portugal have the best generations right now.

I agree. I dont think it's a lack of quality. It's that the quality is more spread out. It's actually quite rare that you get an international team that is full of world class talent.  Spain, germany in the late 80s and 90s Brazil 1970 are a few examples but it is quite rare
