Same top speed as Mbappe this season. Didn't realise how fast he is.

Mbappe 36.04km/h
Haaland 36.04km/h

He really has modelled his game on the goat that is Vardy.

De Bruyne, arguably City’s star player, has now spoken about the arrival of the prolific Norwegian. He spoke of what Haaland would be able to add to City’s team and how it would also benefit De Bruyne at the Etihad.

Speaking to Belgian media outlet HLN, De Bruyne said: " Erling Haaland is a top striker. His move should help us to grow as a team. Everybody expects a lot. They've always been looking for a number nine, but I think it'll be good to have that striker that maybe scores 20-25 goals a season."

The playmaker continued: "Maybe (Haaland's arrival might help me too). There have been years that I have more assists (than this season). But my chance creation and other things have remained consistent. Numbers are a part of football but they never tell you the full story.

Think you’ve got to give him #9 tbh.

Isn’t Jesus’s exit basically nailed on at this point?

It's more than likely that Jesus is going but you just never know what will happen, it's that time of year when the media goes crazy with speculation and if you believe what they type then Gundogan, Bernardo & Sterling are also going 🤔 ..so far Jesus has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Real Madrid

This is surprising, it seems he does have a clause after all but people at City say its 350million 😯 ..but not needed because he can leave when he wants like Pep's just said about Bernardo Silva, he wants to keep him at City but he's free to Join Barcelona if he wants and they meet the asking price. I really don't see Haaland leaving his boyhood club anytime soon tbh, we are the club he loves and supports and Madrid can't afford him anyway :hh:

Listened to Nedum Onuoha talking about the Aguero goal recently and the weird shouts of corruption at the time, think maybe Rooney said something recently? Onuoha speaks really well and comes across as pretty intelligent.

Summer transfers so far

OUT:- Steffen, Fernandinho, Sterling, Jesus

IN :- Ortega, Phillips, Alvarez, Haaland

The first 2 are an upgrade on the out going players, Alvarez while being one of the best players in south america is an unknown at top level like Nunez at Liverpool, Haaland is a massive upgrade on Jesus so our transfer window is going well. believe we will sign a LB too. probably Cucurella with Zinc maybe getting moved on. Barca are trying to get Silva but not likely on less  they give us De Jong plus money

As it stands

Ederson

Walker - Dias - Laporte - Cancelo

De Bruyne - Rodrigo - Bernardo

Alvarez - Haaland - Foden

BENCH:- Ortega, Ake, Stones, Phillips, Gundogan, Mahrez, Greelish, Palmer, Delap

2nd 11

Ortega

Cancelo - Stones - Ake - Zinc

Palmer - Phillips - Gundogan

Mahrez - Alvarez - Greelish

Friendly games in the USA starts in July - fixtures

V Club America 21st

V Bayern Munich 24th

Then Haaland can destroy Liverpool on the 30th in the shield game

Honestly, Klopp vs Pep debate shouldn't even exist. It's so simple:

Under Klopp, Mainz went from German 2nd division to 13th in Bundesliga on zero budget:
- Can Pep go to Mainz and do that?

Under Klopp, Dortmund went from 18th in Bundesliga to 2 titles and a UCL final on a shoestring budget:
- Can Pep go to Dortmund and do that?

Under Klopp, Liverpool went from 8th in the league to winning all trophies in 6 years, majorly on the back of selling Coutinho and finding gems like Salah, Diaz:
- Could Pep ever do that on Liverpool's net spend?

Now see the reverse...what if Klopp went:
- To Barcelona with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Barca's budget
-  To Bayern with Robben, Ribery, Lewandowski and Bayern's budget
-  To Man City with De Bruyne, Kompany and City's budget

Seriouly, what is there to debate? It's like comparing an actual, proven Football coach and a little boy playing FIFA Manager Mode in real life.

I don’t know how many times people on this site have to tell you how and why what Guardiola did at Barcelona and Bayern are so impressive, particularly the former. It is tiring, how many times is this same conversation had to be had?

I know you love Klopp and its understandable because there's no denying he's an immense manager. But there's a lot of disrespect for Pep in this post.

The reason Pep has never managed clubs like Mainz and Dortmund or their Spanish equivalents or whatever is because he got given a chance at Barcelona and proved with no experience that he was already one of the best managers in the world.

There's as much evidence to suggest that Klopp could do what Pep does as there is to suggest that Pep could do what Klopp does. They've had different careers and have different strengths.

People are happy to point at Pep and ask why doesn't he do something more challenging to prove himself but they'll never apply it to their own club. Why doesn't Van Dijk go back to the Netherlands and try to win the Champions League with Ajax? Why doesn't Alexander-Arnold go and play for Tranmere and see if he can help them get to the Premier League? Didn't think so. The reason is that these elite sportspeople care more about winning and competing at the top level than they do about "proving themselves" to Internet keyboard warriors. Imagine that!

Currently, in the Premier League, Klopp is punching above his weight more than Pep. That's as far as it goes really. It's not like Pep could be doing loads more. What is it 4 out of 5 titles now? The underperformance in Europe is a valid criticism but it also isn't the be all and end all of the job.

Can we park the "the debate shouldn't even exist" shouts as well? It doesn't make you sound convincing, it just comes off as a desperate attempt to discredit dissenting opinions so that your world view doesn’t have to be contested. If you're that sure of the superiority of your arguments then put them across and let people decide to agree with you.

The disrespect Pep gets for putting together two of the greatest teams to have ever played the game at Barce is genuinely mental. Not to mention the season he took over they had just finished 3rd on 67 points. And then he goes and makes history as the first Spanish side to ever win a treble.

Yep, it's laughable to question Pep, he's teams play the best football you will ever see, look at the job he's done with Foden too, cant wait to see how he improves Haaland who for me is already the best striker in the game

People think he was given the Barcelona team on a platter. He had the cajones to sell fucking Ronaldinho, Deco, and Eto’o to build a new team. Xavi and Iniesta weren’t considered elite yet, he brought in Pique, Alves, Busquets, Pedro, and many others. Comparing Rijkaard’s and Guardiola’s Barcelonas are night and day.

I don’t even know why I am posting this again, and again, and again

Not to mention selling Toure and bring Busquets through. The Barcelona board really let themselves down forcing moves like Fabregas, they could have built a team with Pep that lasted a decade.
