Pep Guardiola on a return to Barcelona: "I'm incredibly happy here, delighted to be in Manchester and hopefully I can do a good job this season to stay longer."

Pep wants to stay, give him the key's as far as I'm concerned 😎

Does he need to win the league or Champions League to stay beyond this season?

Nope, all he has to do is sign the contract

Interesting. I think a season without either would be considered a failure by the owners. And neither this season would be two seasons without either. I think Guardiola would be happy to get out at the end of the season anyway.

And he’ll be straight off to PSG for another ‘challenge’.

Pep can stay as long as he likes, City know he is the best manager in the game ever and will give him all the time he wants to re-build the team

Didn’t expect that. I had visions of him going to PSG.

He did always say he doesn't want to go anywhere and will stay as long as they allow him.

They have some brilliant young players, and he hasn't won them the CL yet has he. Plenty of unfinished business!

This means Messi is on the way, Pep wanted to sign near the end of the season but guess Messi wanted reassurances

Was my thinking too. Would be great to see Messi in the Premier League.

I'd be surprised if he was the same player if he came to England anyway.

No way is he scoring 40 - 50 goals a season over here.

Oh yeah, he'll be effective but his legs look to have gone. He'll probably play a deeper role.

He doesn't need to but he would still be a hugely influential player even if it was just for a season or two.

Hopefully! Even at his age he can do a job over here. He can sit further back and play for another 5 years at the top.
