Not been the worst start to a tournament for us but Croatia have been really bad today which at times makes us look better

What? It has literally been the best start for a Euros ever for England

It’s very clear we’ve not played extremely well for 90 minutes, though not performing badly, and that Croatia have been dogshit.

Bit of a BTEC Italy so far but I’ll take it

That was very lacklustre but it's 3 points against the strongest opposition in the group.

Phillips MOTM.

Scotland while not being as talented will get at England more, they are more liable to win

I dont remember them having any decent chance

A shot from outside the area was on target. I thought that was the question, not whether it was a decent chance...

Good result.

Not a great game, lots of slow spells. Something to maybe build from.

How did Philips get away with some many fouls without a yellow :4_joy: when there's a better ref that persistent fouling might become a problem

You'll take that all day. Not a great game but we did everything we had to. Gave them very little opportunity and could've had a couple more ourselves.

Should be topping the group from here.

If you can't play in 28 degrees, might as well stop playing in international tournament.

Not all 28 degrees are equal. The height of the sun plays a role in impacting both the medical risk factor and the tempo of the sport. Hence the advice to never go for a run at midday. It's rare at any tournament you'd have to play in that. Typically it happens only on the odd occasion in the group stage. Most hot climates hosting have games as late in the day as possible.
