There was rumour doing the rounds in Italy last week that he might be available for purchase. Which I am surprised about because it looks like City are initiating this. I think defensively he doesn't do enough to play in right of the midfield three and Mahrez has made the right flank his, but still, he is a quality player on the ball and makes stuff happen when given a run of games.

Doesn't surprise me if I'm honest, he spent a weirdly long time out of the first team at the start of the season.

Maybe something has gone on behind the scenes because he's a brilliant little player.

Problem City have is Mahrez and Silva don't score nearly enough goals to start every game, so unless they're happy to play as they do in the squad then they need to go. Which puts more pressure on Pep finding an Aguero replacement

Apparently Barca (somehow) have agreed a fee with Man City & the parasite that is Jorge Mendes.

Man City getting rid of Sterling, Jesus & Silva in same window. I know they have an abundance of attacking players in general but at least 2 of those were extremely valuable for Man City on the pitch any given time.

Leaves them with Haaland/Alvarez up front. Mahrez, Grealish, Foden, De Bruyne as attacking midfielders.

Neymar   ..Barca shouldn't be allowed to buy players though, they are kicking De Jong out because they cant pay him, maybe we should take him on loan :35_thinking:

The fee being quoted is a bit unbelievable so this "agreement" might be bollocks or some dodgy dealings going on   ..just read this too, how could Barca even afford him??

it is hard to imagine Barcelona succeeding in the operation given their current financial status. The club are not even in a position to register their new signings, and still need to free up around €25 million in their workforce expenses.

That is where the sale of Frenkie de Jong could become vital. Recent reports indicate Manchester United are ready to fork out a substantial fee for the services of the Dutchman this summer, although the fate of the transfer could depend on the player himself.

Barcelona is a step back.  that club should be placed in administration and sequestered.

Real Madrid must be pissing themselves. There only frequent competition have pissed up a percentage of TV rights for 20 years and signed a Spotify deal for immediate cash and made no effort to clear Insane debts. They'll be making substantially more than Barcelona every season in about two years without having to really try.

If this Super League court verdict goes against there vision and they have two more seasons in The Champions League like the last they'll be in serious trouble.

Manchester City have dismissed talk that a deal is place to sell Bernardo Silva to Barcelona this summer, 90min has been told.

Sources close to City have told 90min that there is no deal or agreement for Silva and that reports insisting otherwise are wide of the mark.

It has been reported in Spain that Barcelona, who are long-term admirers of Silva, have a deal in place to take the Portugal international to Camp Nou.

It was claimed that Barça, Man City, Silva and his agent Jorge Mendes were all in agreement about a move that would see him replace Frenkie de Jong at the club upon his departure to Man Utd.

But City have dismissed this as speculation and are believed to have no plans to let Silva go.

Has Silva expressed any desire to leave City for Barcelona?  Some of  De Jong's issues with Barcelona seem to have to do with their desire to bring in Silva.

No, think you would have to be crazy to go there right now, they cant even register players they buy :4_joy:  ..last summer he was thinking about leaving because he didn't get the playing time he wanted, that's not an issue now

There is still a lot of players wanting to sign for Barcelona though.  It does seem crazy given the financial situation there,  but out side of Real Madrid, there's not many bigger draws.

Lewandowski is having a medical tomorrow too in a 42million pound deal :4_joy: ..where they getting this money from when they cant even pay wages of current players? :35_thinking:

I don’t get them. They just keep buying and signing players. Why did they get Aubameyang just to replace him with Lewadowski? Why did they sign Frenkie de Jong for 75,000,000€ if they just went out for Franck Kessie? Why do they sign Raphinha when they have Griezmann, Depay, Fati, Trincao, as well as Aubameyang and Lewandowski? Why do they sign Christensen when they already have Lenglet, Pique, Araujo, Garcia, and Umtit?
