Deal has been done since before the Euros. Just been waiting to get the Kean money from PSG or £10m for James or even a couple of packets of crisps for Delph off Watford but we can't shift anyone because they're all shite and the market's dead anyway and because Everton gonna Everton. Shame as it actually would have been a good signing. Good age, some actual dynamism and a position we've needed to recruit in for about 4 years. Looks like we're going after some cheap alternative for £3.5m or something. The fact this post has made it to a third paragraph misrepresents how little I'm arsed at all about this coming season. Bargain in this day and age, and it makes you wonder why teams like Arsenal & Spurs aren’t in for him at that price. Sounds like if your bid was rejected, the other club sort of fucked themselves shooting for a "premier league premium price" once Everton backed out and they ended up selling him to Inter for less. Think it was more that the price was overstated. Either way even if it was 15m or 20m it would have been well worth it. Got reliable Twitter people who say Leon Bailey and Dumfries were both ready to come to us this summer. Absolutely galling that we managed to get those deals basically done but couldn't spend the money without outgoings because of the £30m on Iwobi or the £30m on Moise Kean or the £120k weekly wages we've paid Bernard for three seasons or the £20m on Allan who our fans love because he's a bit of a shithouse but if you watch him is basically a 30 year old expensive Tom Davies.
