I just don't believe that Mercedes have given up and won't bring any more upgrades this season. Let's see what Silverstone brings. First half of the season in 2017 and 2018. With Ferrari and Mercedes, whoever got pole there was never much in it. The odd qualifying there may have been 2 tenths but in general not much. I will look into 2018 and 2017 later, as it's a bit of a nuisance to do it on the phone, but at least in 2020 and 2019, Mercedes gap to a closest opponent over a single lap was more than twice as large as Max's gap this season so far.
