Subscriber RandoEFC+ 7,644 Posted February 16, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted February 16, 2022 I'm not entirely sure how it works but there are reports that the Queen will help him fund the settlement and given that the Royal Family are sustained largely by public money, there are going to be some interesting questions asked about this and not just from those who don't support the monarchy. By pursuing a civil case the Prince was more likely to be found guilty due to them having less investigative powers. So he pushed for a jury trial and then let it known they would be calling her boyfriend who was a known sex offender to court. That seems to have prompted the settlement, in my opinion.
