He could genuinely have challenged Lewis on the mediums. Ricciardo's slow stop also gave Lewis extra breathing space. Max dropping to P7, looked like there was a real rescue job on the cards earlier but now it's difficult. Maybe he can fight back if he gets through the graining phase like the medium runners did earlier. The Norris-Hamilton gap has actually stabilised the last couple of laps. But his gut and decision got him pole, so he thought he could have won it. Regardless, that was a ballsy move by him and while it didn't pay off, I definitely enjoy him trying to take the risks. Yes, was surprised to see him in 3rd when Lando was sliding all over the place, not sure how that happened, but that was about the best they could have hoped for starting from 20th. Lewis did well despite some really shaky performances would Quali and Practice session, and then the strategy paid off and leads to his 100th victory. That's incredible.
