One person has never been so wrong in two sentences. This show is a pure gem, and you take that back about the office damnit.

I said 'the worst of the office." The office was good on a good day.

Face it, you don't have to dislike it by any means, but Ted Lasso is the pumpkin spice latte of comedy.

I’m reigniting this topic just so that we can beat the fuck out of  @Devil-Dick Willie for his blasphemy.

Binged this in two days. It’s excellent. It’s not the funniest show around, but it does have genuinely humorous moments and really heartfelt ones as well. The balance is perfect. it’s a shame that it’s going to end after season 3 finishes.

This show sucks so much ass. It's the whitest most boring shit humor. Even beats the worst of the office and parks and rec for 'most wonder bread humor that middle class white people will like'

I don't know why you always try to convince people you are right and everyone else is wrong. Its received very good reviews from critics and the general audience. Isn't it possible other people just have a different option to you and it's personal taste ??

I never tried to convince anyone of anything in this case. I literally just offered my opinion.
Except the pumpkin spice latte part. Surely that even the people who enjoy the show (which they are allowed to do contrary to what you seem to think my beliefs are) can admit that the relentless toxic levels of positivity are aimed at the white middle class.

Well the way you present it seems as if you are acting like that. It's not just this you do it on other threads. If I'm wrong I apologise but it's the way you come across to me

@Devil-Dick Willie watching the show.

I do like to feel good hahaha.

Eastbound and down was wholesome. This show is like what Mormons must think heaven is like. It's just so over the top it reeks of insincerity.
Add to that that the comedy isn't funny to me and the plot lines are all so predictable an 8 year old could tell you what would happen and it's just got no value for me.

It took me 3 seconds to be too revolted to continue watching. The less said about the promo video the better too.

I honestly don't understand how grown adults can watch this. It's like a dialysis machine for millennials. Taking them back to the cheese of their childhood while they sleep walk their way into the grave.

Stay edgy, my friend. When are you finally moving to Berlin?

Fuck you replied to that quickly.

I honestly am not trying to be edgy, nor do I think it's an edgy take xD I'm not out here trashing everything that's not some try hard edgy comedy or torture porn horror movie. If you were watching basic white people bullshit I'd be silent as the grave. The office, parks and rec, community, whatever.
But this show is honestly kind of sickening in how child like and insincere it is. It's so far dethatched from anything resembling reality that I truly can't comprehend how anyone over the age of 12 takes it in. Like I said, my theory is that it must take you back in some way to a time before you grew up.

Honestly, it's a comedy with some dramatic touches, that happens to also involve football. It's fiction, yes, but how on earth is it "sickening"?

I like comedy with some dramatic touches, it kind of reminds me of Scrubs, which I liked a lot. I really don't get that extreme reaction at all.

At least they're not Netflix originals.

It's so safe and optimistic. It's like someone took all the 'white people at work' shows (like Scrubs, the office and so on) stole the foundation but sanded off every edge and splinter. It reminds me of those kids books for 3 year olds where the spooky monster turns out to be made of chocolate ice cream, and just wanted to be everyones friend and share pizza or whatever bullshit. That's what I mean when I say 'sickeningly'. It's horridly insincere in its message and optimism, because it knows it's such BS. But thats the point I labored earlier so we're not treading new ground.

I don't hate scrubs. I wouldn't watch it by choice, and it too was too cheesy for my taste. But at least sometimes things went wrong and never got better. No silver linings or miracles, just hard lessons.

I mean, I get it if you don't like it. That's fine. We all like different things. But being that condescending towards people who like it doesn't seem like a healthy reaction to me.

I was asking a question about the why. I don't think I've ever attacked anyone for liking it, just the show itself and I've voiced my opinions.

There's plenty of dark topics though. Betrayal, divorce, death, suicide, alcoholism, panic attacks etc.
