Inter for us. Why couldn't we draw Villarreal?

They said about it in sky sports. It was something to din with pots would match up for real Madrid because they couldnt face inter or Villarreal at this stage. It dont quite understand it all but it was the correct rule applied. Did you draw them then it had to change?

Chelsea and City getting fortunate draws. Chelsea getting Lille after coming second in their group and us getting Inter is particularly annoying.

If we win over two legs, it'll be good to have played good opposition and knocked them out at this stage.

Everyone wants the easiest possible path to the final, and that's logical. But the CL is the best tournament because of the sexy matches and Liverpool v Inter in the first knockout round is a sexy match.

And if we get knocked out, at least it's to a side like Inter and not a plastic club like PSG/City or someone we'd necessarily expect to get passed without much effort. And if we're getting knocked out by Inter, it's probably not meant to be for us in this tournament - because while they're good they're not one of those clubs like Bayern or something.

Could be worse, I'm always happy to be drawn against big sides because that's where the real magic of Anfield and the atmosphere comes out. When the big boys come to town.

Yeah I followed that post up with it being because only ourselves, Real Madrid and Juventus were left. Real Madrid couldn't draw Villarreal or Inter and obviously Juve couldn't draw Inter either

I cant actually believe someone pays Michael owen to talk.  I'd rather pay him not to talk

He's actually very good when he's analysing a striker on a post match show. He should just stick to that though because he chats complete shite the rest of the time.

He said 'Jamie Vardy isn't a natural finisher' so turns out he chats complete shite all the time

Nice to draw Ajax. Historic clubs with similar history and possibly the two biggest outside of the top 5 leagues. 13 finals between the two.

PSG vs. Real Madrid - 17 finals (16 are Real Madrid)
Inter vs. Liverpool - 14 finals
Benfica vs. Ajax - 13 finals
Salzburg vs. Bayern - 11 finals
Villarreal vs. Juventus - 9 finals
Atlético vs. Man United - 8 finals
Chelsea vs. Lille - 3 finals
Sporting vs. Man City - 1 finals

Inter vs Liverpool is a game I don't remember even seeing.

Last time we played them was 2007/8. Also in the last 16.

I definitely think ajax are the biggest club outside of top  5 leagues. To be honest they are a bigger than alot of clubs in the top 5 leagues. Probably benfica or Porto would be next. I think benfica have won more europeon cups though haven't they?
