RandoEFC 6,667
Results - Gameweek 3(B) Casualties (3) With two players already eliminated in the first attempt at Gameweek 3, a further three incorrect picks takes the total number of casualties at this stage to five. This weekend's casualties were unable to take advantage of their reprieve following Thursday's postponements, all picking teams that were defeated on home turf on Sunday. @Redcanuck's pick of Empoli proved to be particularly disastrous as they were thumped 5-1 by Sassuolo, while @Stan and @Viva la FCB were on the wrong end of bottom club Salernitana's 3rd in of the Serie A campaign away to Verona. Thanks for playing. Two points on the board for all of those eliminated in Gameweek Three with a chance of an extra point for joint 3rd, depending on how our survivors get on. Survivors (2) Joining @Bluewolf in the next Gameweek, our two survivors from Sunday's set of games both backed big names to ensure progress. AC Milan secured a comfortable 3-0 win at ten-man Venezia to take @6666 into Gameweek Four in the first game of the weekend. @CaaC (John) makes it a three-way fight for the Serie A round by backing Napoli ahead of their 1-0 home win over Sampdoria. Congratulations on your progress, please read ahead for the Gameweek Four fixtures. Preview - Gameweek Four With just three players left in the game, we're in tie-break territory. I'm sure you all know how this works so a brief reminder of what you need to pick from the next set of fixtures: A match winner, as usual one that you haven't used in the previous Gameweeks. If nobody makes a correct pick we will proceed to the two tie-break deciding picks below. If at least one person makes a correct pick, we will continue as normal. A goalscoring player who doesn't have to be from the team you have chosen as your match winner. If more than one person picks a goalscoring player, they will be separated by who scored a goal earlier in their match. The time of first goal in the randomly selected game, Atalanta vs Inter Milan. If the goalscorer round doesn't separate you, then whoever gets closest to the correct minute wins the round. Below are this week's fixtures, starting on Saturday. Good luck!

RandoEFC 6,667
Results - Gameweek Four Casualties (0) A weekend free of Covid disruption is also free of casualties as all three of our remaining players picked correctly. Survivors (3) Saturday, Sunday and Monday each saw one of our competitors face their latest trial, starting with @6666 at the outset of the weekend. Goals from Dybala and McKennie were enough to see Juventus past Udinese, and to see him safely into Gameweek Five. Sunday saw @CaaC (John) clear hurdle number four as well, as Roma defeated Cagliari 1-0 at home. Monday saw the most emphatic victory of the round, though, as @Bluewolf's Fiorentina thumped Genoa 6-0 to extend this three-way final bout. Congratulations on reaching four points so far, with a guarantee of further bonus points even if that is your last correct pick. Preview - Gameweek Five Just like last week, with only three players remaining, you will be required to make your tie-break picks to safeguard against the eventuality of nobody picking a winning team. A reminder of what this entails: A match winner, as usual one that you haven't used in the previous Gameweeks. If nobody makes a correct pick we will proceed to the two tie-break deciding picks below. If at least one person makes a correct pick, we will continue as normal. A goalscoring player who doesn't have to be from the team you have chosen as your match winner (but does need to be from Serie A please @Bluewolf). If more than one person picks a goalscoring player, they will be separated by who scored a goal earlier in their match. The time of first goal in the randomly selected game, Spezia vs Sampdoria. If the goalscorer phase doesn't separate you, then whoever gets closest to the correct minute wins the round. Below are the fixtures for the next Gameweek, starting on Friday evening. Good luck! RandoEFC 6,667
Results - Gameweek Five Survivors (3) After a brief international break, Last Man Standing returns this weekend. But first, the results from last time out. Saturday saw @CaaC (John) survive a scare after backing Inter Milan, who needed Edin Dzeko to find a 90th minute winner to complete their comeback against Venezia. Sunday's fixtures saw more comfortable progress for @Bluewolf and @6666, who picked Napoli ahead of their 4-1 win against ten-man Salernitana. Preview - Gameweek Six I will need your tiebreak picks once again this week so that we can resolve the competition in the event of nobody making a correct pick. An updated Serie A table can be found below, along with this week's fixtures. A reminder of what I need from you: Your usual Match Winner pick, not using a team that you have already used to get this far. An Anytime Goalscorer, that doesn't have to be from the same game as your match winner. This will only come into play if nobody picks a correct match winner, and will be decided not only by whether or not your chosen player scores, but by which player scores in an earlier minute in their game, if more than one of you are successful. The Time of First Goal in the randomly selected match, Bologna vs Empoli. If you aren't split by the previous part of the tiebreak, whoever gets closest to getting this one correct wins the round. Good luck!

Popular Post RandoEFC 6,667
Results - Round Three We have a winner at last, as the Italian round of the 2021-22 season ends on a tie break. All three of our remaining contenders failed to pick a match winner in this weekend's Series A fixtures. @6666 was the only one whose fate was sealed on Saturday, with Nicolo Zaniolo's late winning goal for Roma against Genoa cruelly ruled out, leaving then ten men from each side to settle for a stalemate. On Sunday, @Bluewolf and @CaaC (John) were on the wrong end of an upset, as Atalanta went down 2-1 at home to relegation-threatened Cagliari, sending the round into a tie breaker. Our three survivors went with three different options for their chosen goalscorer. Josef Martinez didn't deliver for @CaaC (John), substituted off after 69 minutes in Inter's 2-1 defeat to rivals Milan. @6666 was also let down by Duvan Zapata, who started on the bench for Atalanta, was introduced in the second half and then left the pitch with an injury 14 minutes later. All of this meant that Ciro Immobile's 70th minute strike in Lazio's 3-0 win at Fiorentina was enough to win the round for @Bluewolf. Congratulations! This success marks @Bluewolf's second win in a Last Man Standing round, the last one coming in Ligue 1 two seasons ago. With our runners-up coming joint 2nd at the end of this Gameweek. A bonus point for joint 3rd place goes to all of those players who were eliminated after making two correct picks. The full scores for this round are as follows: 8 points (5 correct picks + 3 bonus points) - @Bluewolf 7 points (5 correct picks + 2 bonus points) - @CaaC (John) and @6666 3 points (2 correct picks + 1 bonus point) - @Storts, @Stan, @Whiskey, @Redcanuck and @Viva la FCB 1 point (1 correct pick) - @RondónEFC, @DeadLinesman, @Mel81x, @Pyfish, @Asura and @Rucksackfranzose 0 points - @Michael, @Khan of TF365, @Rick, @Tommy, @Devil, @Dan, @...Dan and @nudge See you all soon in Round 4, which will take us to sunny Spain.
