Can't wait. Too bad I'm in damn school for all of the daytime matches. I miss uni holidays.

Out of curiosity what level do you play tennis at @Eco?

the joys of working from home for me ;)

Not sure how many matches I'll actually watch though other than if they involve the main big-hitters. Other than Nadal/Fed/Djok/Murray, I do enjoy watching Tsonga, Monfils, Dustin Brown mainly because of their entertainment factor.

Dominic Thiem and Alex Zverev are both worth a watch if you get the chance. Up and coming stars although neither of them particularly specialise in grass court tennis.

yeah, caught a bit of the French Open and Thiem was decent to watch actually.

Not seen Zverev so may look out for matches.

I've also just seen Wimbledon qualifiers will be aired on TV for the first time to commemorate the 90th anniversary of coverage of the competition on BBC

Yes, which is why I made this a bit early. Figured it would gain some traction earlier than usual because of this.

I really wanted to play tennis when I was a kid. I was told by my mother that the fee to play was $120 but then I felt guilty having that much money spent on me so I said I didn't want to anymore. Kinda makes me sad when I think about it.

Play now. It's not that expensive to join an adult league, and I play 4-5 times a week sometimes, and I just started playing just a couple of years ago.

Nah, my knees have never been that strong and I'm not sure if it's an actual issue or weak muscles but even riding a bike causing unusual pain.

Grass court tennis :x

At least until the courts get ruined and it plays no different to a hard court.

Shot making match ups on fresh grass courts though - Gasquet and Monfils just finishing up in Halle now but watching Edmund and Shapovalov go to a third set on BBC.

So a question for the English on here. How does the media circus treat Andy Murray? Is he a brave Briton when he wins and a Scottish scoundrel when he loses?

That's what it was in his early days but since he has worked on his media image and how he comes across that has changed. Lots of appearances on comedy shows and being able to have a laugh at his dourness has got more people behind him. Popular figure now.

Ah, I am lucky to not have had that issue. Come over to Roswell and we'll have a couple of brews and play some tennis if you change your mind.

I probably can't even rally the bloody ball. I literally never go to that part of Atlanta.

Since he cried after losing the Wimbledon final 2012 people decided they actually like him whereas before a lot of people struggled to see past his dry persona. Was very much accepted into the hearts and minds when he won the Olympic Gold in London that year and winning 2x Wimbledon, another Gold Medal in Rio and leading Team GB to the Davis Cup in that time hasn't done any harm either. There was one rocky moment when he tweeted "let's do this" in response to negativity about Scottish independence around the time of the referendum, but people decided to forget about that quickly.

Nothing wrong with Murray. One of the best Sportsman Britain has produced in recent times and will go down as one of the best ever representing us in his Sport. If he wins Wimbledon for a third time, it will equal Fred Perry which would be brilliant.

Obviously want Murray to do well but if not him, I would LOVE to see a classic Nadal v Federer final. I doubt it'll happen but that would be brilliant.

Edmund is out at queens club losing to Shapovalov in three sets.

Tomorrow, Murray faces "fellow Brit" Bedene in the first round. Also Wawrinka v Lopez, Raonic v Kokkinakis and Cilic v Isner. Federer is playing Lu in Halle too which they're covering on Sky Sports.

Queens Club could be blown right open here. 2nd and 3rd seeds Wawrinka and Raonic have been knocked out in the first round in straight sets, losing to Lopez and Kokkinakis respectively.

Top seed Murray is a set behind to lucky loser Thompson of Australia but will probably come back and win.

Cilic is the fourth seed, his match against Isner still to come...
